Fascists by definition lack a funny bone. It's obvious it was pre-planned because otherwise the guy would've said, "No, I saw it on a Netflix show named 'You" early on. Instead he deliberately tries to keep a bad version of Abbot & Costello going, and she keeps playing dumb. Excruciating, especially knowing how evil and humorless she is the rest of the time.
