Nice Xmas pic. “Fingers off the triggers, guys! Safety first! Kyle! Stop pointing your AR-15 at your little brother’s head. Point your barrel BELOW the waist, always.”
Haaahaaaaha lol. “Values.” Her voters deserve her. As soon as people like Qbert offer “But I talked to God,” I slowly back away, politely smiling, then I turn and run.
I'm sensing a pattern here. The people most vocal about demanding the right to tell everyone else how to raise their kids are always really shitty parents.
Yet another con saying they got by with the help of welfare and that's why no one else should have it. So ridiculous. And what the hell is going on at her church? That is an even less appropriate place to Beetlejuice someone.
Republicans love women who are trashy and dumb. I’m sorry, it sucks that her ex is an abusive piece of shit. No one deserves that. But she’s full of shit herself and has no business raising children either.
I grew up with government cheese, and yes, we did have to stand in line. There wasn't a separate line for cheese, but you'd get a box and volunteers would fill it up as you pushed it down a line like in a cafeteria. If you were lucky, there was cheese, but not always. Sometimes there was white margarine with a little dye pack to make it yellow. Or a gallon of peanut butter which had an inch or two of oil on top when you opened the can and you had to stir it in. Lots of rice and instant potatoes. We didn't all go hungry, anyway.
I got commodities when I was young and collecting welfare (that only lasted a couple or three months before I found work). The corn grits were the best; I'd trade the cheese for more to others who had no idea what to do with them. I'd also trade it for more peanut butter. No margarine. I used my food stamps for vegetables and fruit.
But, this sounds like you are in a different older generation than the B is. I guess it may vary by district but it does sound like stories from the depression and WWII era. I am later than that, earlier than the B and have lived (military) in a number of states - all of which have had food pantries as opposed to the dye pack margarine. Not asking your age, which would be rude, but are you sure you are describing government food programs of the Lauren B childhood era? Curious...
My comments didn't have anything to do with her, but rather what the author said about no lines. We did indeed have lines, and I'm talking about the 1950s.
You know it didn't start out "government cheese", right??
It started out as Reagan's Republican government paying off a dairy subsidy
It only became that because he wanted another way -- along with the pejorative "welfare queens" and letting the CIA flood Black-predominant neighborhoods with drugs -- to demonize Black and other marginalized people
Somebody fucks up, sure. It happens. Everyone's human. To consistently make the worst possible choices every time in your life, my sympathy only goes so far.
Nope. And I'm the squishiest of bleeding heart liberals. Guess what? I ended up getting with a 22 year old abuser at 16, and ended up trapped with him for 12 years. I did not turn into a trash ass piece of crap.
The comments in WaPo were epic. Like why did you do a profile of such a despicable woman? She garners zero sympathy from me. She's still a mean girl who got her ass beat for a reason.
Zero sympathy. She's trash and she's never had any ambition to be more than that.
Five pound box of cheese,
Bags of groceries,
We gotta get by however we can,
Sometimes we all gotta duck when the shit hits the fan.

Looks like the Palin family has some serious competition!

Like Mike Johnson.
We're so fucked.

Ta, Marcie. That Christmas photo is horrifying. And my opinion of Lauren Opal Boebert is unfit for print.

Well, it depends on one's definition of church. I might know of one or two where that's *entirely* appropriate. They aren't Christian, tho.
Let's face it: even the prospect of a public hand job from a woman with enormous fake boobs is going to win TFG's endorsement every time.
I'm going to see Beetlejuice in Portland for my birthday next month...Excited!!!!
Don't get too excited. They'll make you leave.
Vote Government Cheese Party!
In that photo, her oldest is thinking, "I live with crazy people."

I got commodities in the 1950s and cheese was included sometimes. reagan wasn't involved in it yet.
“Come on, admit it, you do feel a little bad for her.”
Oddly enough, I do not.
Somebody fucks up, sure. It happens. Everyone's human. To consistently make the worst possible choices every time in your life, my sympathy only goes so far.
Me neither!

The comments are SAVAGE, and I'm here for it.
