I have a friend who is really, REALLY sensitive to scary things, but still wanted to support the movie; she just bought a ticket online and didn't go. Of course it's great to also show up at the theater, but you don't necessarily have to.
I don't go to movies because people simply don't know how to act in public spaces anymore. That said, I'm taking my wife and daughters to this because the cast is fucking awesome, women as leads/heroines, and I love, Love, LOVE L.J. She is pretty much carrying SNL right now. Also, too, I'm 100% positive I won't have to deal with MRAs and MGTOWs at the new Ghostbusters, so I don't have to fear an arrest for manslaughter

I was sick when I first read about this. Leslie in no way deserves any of the crap that was thrown her way and also she was hilarious and not typecast in the new Ghostbuster's movie. A friend of a friend was talking on Facebook about what she thinks is in Patty's background and it's quite interesting and fitting for how her character interacts with the rest of the team.
