I'm almost -- ALMOST -- sorry I didn't take the job at the post office, but my mother worked for USPS for much of her life, and I knew what a horrible workplace it was before I ever read Bukowski. If I had, I'd be retiring in a few years, instead of struggling as I am. I'm not complaining, I just never thought my skills wouldn't be enough to get me hired.
I'm not supposed to drink and haven't for nearly a year. Yesterday was a bitch and I bought a 1.75 liter of old white man booze (Jim Beam). I'll drink a coupla shots in your name. Just as a side remark, i've known several chemo patients that would slug down booze while they were getting chemo. Maybe they were just beyond the point of caring. Live long and prosper.
