Six-term U.S. Sen. Carl Levin (D-MI) announced today he'll retire when his term ends in 2014 . The professorial/grandfatherly senator was known for rumpled suits, huge combover, glasses tenuously perched on the edge of his nose, and dragging the banking industry's worst dreck before a committee hearing to tear them new assholes. While other senators (LIZ WARREN LIBEL) were busy not doing anything because what's the point if you can't get 59 friends to do it with you, Levin used his position as Chairman of the Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations to bring the thunder down on Wall Street. America will be a lesser place without Levin's unmitigated contempt for the shaved and fumigated conmen who nearly destroyed the American economy. So let us take this moment to remember some of Sen. Levin's finest moments yelling at banksters.
<strike>The Senate was allegedly set up to be a voice of restrained action, a group of pols less likely to bend to the prevailing winds of emotion that exists in the House, a restraining hand that offered moderation and compromise to the country. We lose a Carl Levin but gain a Ted Cruz. Perhaps it is time to remove the 17th amendment and let the states decide which flash-in-the-pan</strike>
thanks. today when i was hearing the news i was reassuring myself it was likely to stay dem. then someone up top speculated it could go to a bagger and i started wondering.
Until the American voting public can look at the facts in a clear eyed, logical fash...SQUIRREL!
Too fatty.
Sad, but probably true.

<i>Blankfein spends this entire clip looking like he has terrible, terrible gas.</i>
doesn&#039;t he always?
It&#039;s the souls of the damned escaping from their still burning corpses that I dislike...
Plastic*
If Michigan sends Hoekstra to the Senate I will completely give up on &#039;em.
Near as I can tell, they both shit on everybody else, and pretty much at will.
That&#039;s because being totally full of shit was a pre-existing condition.
