Let's Watch Ben Carson Sleep Through His Own Confirmation Hearing For Secretary Of Thing He's Unqualified For!
Wake him when It's over
Sleepy Ben Carson is certain to give some of the most scintillating testimony of any of Donald Trump's cabinet nominees, or at least to provide more WTF moments per minute as he non-sequiturs his way through questions on his qualifications to be Secretary of Housing and Urban Development. The most honest answer would be to recycle Bob Dole's 1976 Veep debate answer on why he wanted to be vice president: "It's indoor work, no heavy lifting." But standards for what you can get away with in a hearing have tightened a little since then, so Carson will at least have to talk about how his mom raised him on welfare but was never dependent on it.
So let's all enjoy Dr. Carson's testimony before the Senate Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs Committee, and see if committee member Elizabeth Warren has to get up and poke him with stick to keep him from nodding off, or from selling bogus vitamin supplements.
