I think your heart is in the right place too, but you're making some sweeping assumptions. No one thinks Rachel Maddow is the last word on anything. There is a discussion going on up the thread among several people about how they were not Team Joe at first but have changed their minds while watching him in action. I'll count myself among them. I'm a civil servant so I know better than to stan any politician, but I am also a decent judge of political acumen and Joe is handling everything as well as can be expected. And he's showing a lot of strengths I hadn't noticed when he was VP.

And I was never Team Bernie (not because of his politics, I just didn't think he would make a good president) but I think he is doing a good job now and I'm glad Joe put him in charge of the budget committee. Progress is not going to be fast or neat. It takes a lot of pushing and maneuvering and time to change people's minds. It also takes compromises that might feel like moving backwards, but sometimes you need to do that to get enough people on board to make a difference.

Thanks for coming to my TED talk. Peace out.
