I think your heart is in the right place too, but you're making some sweeping assumptions. No one thinks Rachel Maddow is the last word on anything. There is a discussion going on up the thread among several people about how they were not Team Joe at first but have changed their minds while watching him in action. I'll count myself among them. I'm a civil servant so I know better than to stan any politician, but I am also a decent judge of political acumen and Joe is handling everything as well as can be expected. And he's showing a lot of strengths I hadn't noticed when he was VP.

And I was never Team Bernie (not because of his politics, I just didn't think he would make a good president) but I think he is doing a good job now and I'm glad Joe put him in charge of the budget committee. Progress is not going to be fast or neat. It takes a lot of pushing and maneuvering and time to change people's minds. It also takes compromises that might feel like moving backwards, but sometimes you need to do that to get enough people on board to make a difference.

Thanks for coming to my TED talk. Peace out.

I can make mac and cheese ok, not to BP levels, but I suck at potato salad. One of our work lunches, maybe my going away party, this woman brought mac and cheese AND the best potato salad. I don't even remember what else was on the menu.

Surprised the interns at Faux had the wherewithal to dump all the guns first.

It's really discouraging. I'd love to see Republicans be able to be honest about their Dear Leader's shortcomings.

I called it that Biden would let them find out if they fuck around some more

I would absolutely refrain from adopting TFG's framing of the press as "the enemy of the people." I know they're being frustrating, but that's no reason to use fascist tropes.

Good. The press owes a responsibility to the public to ask intelligent questions.

Yeah, I've been experiencing that "Swiss cheese effect" too.

Then why'd you get it so wrong?

First, Biden did the G-7. Then Biden Did NATO. After that, he met with the leadership of the European Union. Before leaving for home, he sat down with Putin. Does that put Putin at the top of the list?

Kaitlin Collins may be pretty, which, I suppose, is what you need to be a success in today’s “journalism.” But she’s an airhead.

I saw it, it is well done.

Kaitlin Collins wants WAR! It's the only confident thing we can do. Certainly, Russia has weapons of mass destruction. putin wants the So-Be-It Union back together again. just like old times when he was in the KGB torturing people. Fun times. Oh, yeah, and putin backs Iran so there's that too. WAR! Is the only solution.

Putin isn't that concerned with "Russia", if he was, he would be far more worried about China. He is concerned about maintaining his power and wealth and not ending up like Czar Nicholas II or Kirov. Very similar to Trump, who was concerned about himself, not the country.
