Lib Trash Megyn Kelly Joining Lib Trash NBC News, Where Lib Trash Belongs

BIG MEDIA NEWS! As many anticipated, Megyn Kelly, Wherever-Bleeder, Esq., will be leaving her perch at Fox News to go to a different perch at NBC News, because she wants a new perch. Many had been speculating that, after a year and a half of being Donald Trump's Public Enemy No. 1, working for a network that simultaneously considered her its star, but also made sexxxy nice time with Trump, she might want something new. Oh, and there was that thing where she helped oust former Fox chief Roger Ailes, just by admitting that yeah, he tried to grab her by the pussy (or whatever he did), just like he did with all the ladies.

Tell us things, New York Times :

The NBC News chairman, Andrew Lack, wooed Ms. Kelly away from Fox News by offering her a triple role in which she will host her own daytime news and discussion program, anchor an in-­depth Sunday night news show and take regular part in the network’s special political programming and other big-­event coverage. [...]

People briefed on the talks, who would only speak on the condition of anonymity pending an announcement, declined to disclose what Ms. Kelly’s new annual salary would be at NBC. But even a modest raise would place her among television’s highest paid journalists. The Wall Street Journal recently reported she was to collect $15 million for the final year of her contract.

From how the New York Times describes it, it sounds like her daytime show will be some kind of a mix of politics and news and other stuff, also too, so Kelly doesn't have to just do cable news yell-fests anymore, or have Newt Gingrich shout at her about how she's a wild-eyed sex-obsessed lady with lady parts. As to Kelly participating in NBC's other political coverage, we kinda like the idea of her sitting around with Rachel Maddow or Chris Matthews or whoever else is on the NBC, instead of having to run around the Fox studios in heels because Karl Rove is having a jizz-tantrum on his white board.

We definitely hope Kelly got a raise from the $15 million she will reportedly make in the last year of her Fox contract as she moves to saner pastures (she probably will, because she's a fuckin' OPERATOR who gets what she wants), and we sincerely hope we will see more of the smarter, less wingnutty Megyn, working for a network that doesn't explicitly cater to people who can't change the channel from Fox because the clicker is on the other side of the room and they're too lazy to Hoveround their way over yonder and git it.

(Because again, fuckin' OPERATOR, which means it's often all about her.)

• "I liked you when you were first on FNC. Then, you got too big for your britches and I only watched you occasionally. FNC has many very qualified people to take your place so, your leaving will not be a loss to FNC. I never watch NBC, ever, so, you are lost and gone forever to me !!!!!!!!!!!!" (Yikes, lady!)

• "What a waste! I only watch local NBC news! Otherwise, it's nothing but an arm of the Democratic Party. NBC is biased and you will have to tow that line! Have fun spending your 30 bits of silver! Sell-out" (SHE IS A JUDAS!)

• "Thanks goodness you're leaving. Now I can keep my TV on FNC all evening like I used to before you were put in the 9PM slot. First Trump gets elected, now she's leaving....like just keeps getting better!!" (Thank goodness he will not have to find the clicker and switch to "Antiques Roadshow"!)

• "Megyn, I've been a loyal fan all 12 years. I defended you fiercely through the Trump fiasco. Unfortunately I will no longer watch you on NBC. They have proven time and time again to present their political news with a 100% liberal bias. I will not tolerate that. I want my political news straight down the middle which is why I only watched Greta, O'Reilly and you. I'm giving Tucker a chance. Good luck from a former viewer." (Only "straight down the middle" Tucker Carlson from now on!)
