Wow. Interesting comments about what constitutes a boast-worthy per-screen average: "So, while high opening weekend per screen averages are often touted, they are a) highly correlated with the size of the specific markets they measure, b) a high-water mark in a film's theatrical life: usually there is nowhere to go but down and c) not terribly impressive unless they are somewhere north of $50,000."

...the fuck is an Oogielove ?

Geeze, I come back from a cupla weeks of holiday with Mrs OWL and OWL Esquire and what senses I have remaining (that were not dulled by extensive imbibing of spirits) are assaulted with the likes of something called an Oogielove. I'm having a hard enough time catching up with the Wonkette posts without this. And who the wholly fuck is this boo-boo kid? - she makes Mema look eloquent. Looks like I also missed an opportunity at my empty chair submission - that had - Hell, still has - hilarity written all over it.

Oh, and, yes [insert obligatory overblown stage sigh and pearl-clutching (may I borrow sumbuddy's pearls a moment?)] it is of course a tragedy of nothing less than epic proportions that this monumental exposé depicting our blah president's true sinister intentions has gained so resoundingly meager a response in both patronage and media coverage. OK, no, it really isn't any form of tragedy whatsoever - THIS IS YOUR FUCKING FREE MARKET, BABY; CHEW ON THAT YOU RACIST BASTERDS!

Hallie’s dad said it was Rocky Horror for toddlers whatever that is

Sounds like a line of testimony presented in a family court in an effort to regain child custody.

I would tend to agree with you. Just trying to use conservative figures. When we have the truth on our side we don't need to exaggerate.

Heck, out in the stix pix tix are probably not more than $6 or $7, anyways...

My first semester at the University of Miami, there were more students in the Introduction to Western Civilization class than there were kids in my entire high school.

Twice as many girls went to UofM as there were people in my hometown.

Oh, right. I stand corrected and humbled. Re-assimilating after vaca is hellish - one loses touch with all such universal rules of the political universe.

[hollars obnoxiously down hall at Mrs OWL who is still unpacking] "Do I have any of that last bottle of Jameson left over from vacation ...?"
