The National Cathedral - how embarrassing for the Cathedral.

This morning (Tuesday) the funeral for Miss Lindsey has been all over the teevee. Why are they doing this for this creep. Just stick him in a hole in the ground and be done with it!

I will not miss the inappropriate sexist bigotry so often casually displayed in comments about Graham.

The wife of a state representative who died in office used her eulogy to announce her candidacy in the upcoming special election to fill her dead husband's seat.

Darline, you taking notes here? That South Carolina eulogy could be all you need for the six-year stint.

This is one man from South Carolina that I’m almost certain has no care in this world or the next for what people think of him lol

Lindsey lived thru three prior wars where the US thought it could bomb its way to victory, all including boots on the ground. Some people are just unable to accept reality.

He compared Trump and Netanyahu to Roosevelt and Churchill. I think tomatoes might have more political acumen. Concur fully on nausea-inducing.

Lieberman. I have a story about that fucker. When he was running for re-election at one point, he came to my father-in-law's house in Connecticut to beg for his support as President of the Union of Reform Judaism. I sat outside and chatted with his driver, while the two of them had a brief conversation. Lieberman did not look happy when he left. When I asked my FIL how it had gone and why it only lasted a short while, he said he told Lieberman that when he changed his position on abortion maybe they would talk, but not before then. And until he did, there was nothing more to say. God I loved that man.

I thought that when Lindsey was called home he'd take all of the pictures of himself with him. Seeing this photogram here, today, now, shakes my belief in the afterlife to its very creamy nougat core!

“ Graham when the senator’s ticker went BRRRR SCREEEE. (That’s how it went.)”

I think it was more of a BOING THUNK THUNK.

Going to have to mark you down, Gary, for reminding me that Joe Lieberman ever existed.

" Various reports have suggested those countries are mad at Iran, yes, but also at the United States for dragging them into this. And who could blame them?"

Is this a rhetorical question? The RINO/MAGAdroid/Fulvous Fuckwad apologists in Congress who are either totes in Dr Donnie Demento's bag or are scared shitless by their own party to the point that they won't even consider condemnation of the current regime's Middle Eastern bruhaha are entirely to blame.

Oh, and also to blame are the eejits who keep returning the dipshits to a power they're unworthy to hold. Power corrupts, and the weak-willed, from either side of the aisle, get corrupted faster and harder when handed the keys to the gubmint. Corruption does not depend on the letter following one's name. (Before anyone jumps down my throat in calling out Dems consider these five examples, among many: Henry Cuellar, Jesse Jackson Jr, Bob Menendez, Michael. Madigan, or the infamous James Traficant.)
