The frustrating thing is that if the opposition had even approached “normal”, Joe would probably still be running. I’m still kind of shocked to hear republicans say that they won’t sign a negotiated bill because it would benefit the democrats. I’m too old to be that naive, but it’s the care-free saying the quiet part out loud with no repercussions that I can’t get over.

agreed. Im still a bit rankled that i read a poll where 60% of respondents say that Harris should completely/partially step away from Biden's economic agenda. (the upside was that poll did say that people trusted Harris on the economy more than Trump) - but the fact that even after he stepped down he's still not receiving the credit he deserves is annoying, and that he might never get that credit is also infuriating. The bright side is that it looks like Harris will be able to benefit from the work and policy that Biden-Harris worked towards. And with Harris and Walz's emphasis on such commie ideas such as free school lunches, and preventing grocery price gauging, they are taking the excellent baseline started by Biden-Harris and making it even better. I'm really excited about their policies, and so grateful for the tremendous work Joe Biden did to give them that baton hand off.
