Wait, Trump just said what Harris wants to do is Communism, price control, so how is Trump going to ,in one year, lower prices, by half, produce more energy, bring down inflation, all that good stuff, without manipulating something. He mentioned "deregulation". Just will it, like he does with stolen secret documents. The Uri Geller of economy?

The frustrating thing is that if the opposition had even approached “normal”, Joe would probably still be running. The infuriating thing is that had the opposition not sold their soul to a flashy (add any pertinent adjectives you like, and there are lots to choose from) skeevy conman, Joe wouldn’t have had to come out of retirement. Sure, the last republican president that didn’t appear to have been twisted by envy and grievance was Eisenhower, but there’s been an accelerating downhill slide since nixon that makes it difficult to deny that they have left the notion of serving the country by the roadside. I’m still kind of shocked to hear republicans say that they won’t sign a negotiated bill because it would benefit the democrats. I’m too old to be that naive, but it’s the care-free saying the quiet part out loud with no repercussions that I can’t get over.

I didn't have time to watch, but I assume that Uncle Joe came out with a M-16, mowed down everyone, and said "That's what you get for attempting a coup against me!"

I mean, that is what the proven rapist, fraud and convicted felon Old Man Trump said would happen.

Or is President Biden just waiting for the chance to blow up her plane or push her out a window like Putin would?

I mean, you know that is what Old Man Trump is planning to do with Vance as his numbers continue to crash.

FOR PLANNING PURPOSES RELUCTANTLY

August 15, 2024

***MEDIA ADVISORY*** TODAY: Donald Trump To Ramble Incoherently

and Spread Dangerous Lies in Public, but at Different Home

TODAY at 4:30 p.m., Donald J. Trump, loser of the 2020 election by 7 million

votes, will hold another public meltdown in Bedminster. New Jersey.

Date and Time

Thursday, August 15, 2024 at 4:30 p.m. EDT.

Venue

Not a battleground state

Preview Not so fresh off NABJ, Florida, and Twitter glitches, Donald Trump intends to deliver another self-obsessed rant full of his own personal grevances to distract from his toxic Project 2025 agenda, unpopular running mate, and increasing detachment from

the reality of the voters who will decide this election.

These remarks will not be artificial intelligence, but they certainly will lack

intelligence. Banning abortion, raising costs on families, confusing basic facts, cutting Social Security and Medicare, blocking border security, and being publicly unstable, unfit,

and unwell will not help his struggling campaign for president.

Tune in for the same old thing.

Joe quoted an old Saint Johnny Winter song.

While giving a shout out to Ben Cardin(?) Joe said "He says what he means and he means what he says!"

Well Saint Johnny Winter also said what he means and means what he says!

Reasons why the whole idea of a press conference should be abandoned

Handsome Joe has a great response here but what the eff kind of question is this?

https://x.com/jojofromjerz/status/1824133799204229324?s=46&t=QTHD9GMfDGpAyfUoOmtJMw

Is it even a question? It’s not even a response to anything concrete, just verbatim repeating something stupid the PAB said. The whole purpose is to get a Jerry Springer style “girl! no he didn’t!” Style reaction

When the press has shown a capacity to do its effing Job, then Kamala will dignify your existence. Till then, she seems to be doing just fine getting her message out on her own.

“Donald Trump says he wants to make America Affordable again what’s your response to that”

OHJB: “he should get a job”

Like what do you even say to that? It takes as a fundamental premise that America is “not affordable” and that Donald Trump has the capacity to make it so. If one were to argue the merits it would be to conced those points and if one were to do like the PAB and say “what a stupid question” you’d be called unstable and unable to handle pressure if you were any person alive who isn’t Donald Trump

"Shady" Vance is scarier than he looks

He's like Bill Barr and Jeffrey Clark -- the truly damaging things he does are hidden beneath a veneer of White male "respectability" consisting of the nice suit along with the law license and/or fancy educational pedigree plied in conjunction with that Whiteness and maleness.

He wrote the foreword to not ONE, but TWO pro-fascist books -- and Frank Schaeffer has the details

Joe Biden is the most honorable, empathetic President of my lifetime and I've been darkening a patch in the PNW for sixty years. And as a woman of Irish descent I am honored to share the same family traditions, tenacious work ethic and iconic Irish wit with Handsome Joe. He reminds me SO much of a couple of my most well loved uncles!

Honest and for truly I do love and respect this man SO much for his selfless discipline and dedication to public service. President Biden has accomplished SO much for the American people in a single administration, not for his own gratification but for the benefit of the common good. History will laud President Joseph Robinette Biden as one of this nation's genuinely GREATEST presidents.

agreed. Im still a bit rankled that i read a poll where 60% of respondents say that Harris should completely/partially step away from Biden's economic agenda. (the upside was that poll did say that people trusted Harris on the economy more than Trump) - but the fact that even after he stepped down he's still not receiving the credit he deserves is annoying, and that he might never get that credit is also infuriating. The bright side is that it looks like Harris will be able to benefit from the work and policy that Biden-Harris worked towards. And with Harris and Walz's emphasis on such commie ideas such as free school lunches, and preventing grocery price gauging, they are taking the excellent baseline started by Biden-Harris and making it even better. I'm really excited about their policies, and so grateful for the tremendous work Joe Biden did to give them that baton hand off.

Expand full comment
Cherry Vanilla Liberty Valance's avatar

oh- and one of my big pet peeves about those questions is that they never ask the respondents what they think Biden's economic agenda was/is.
