I want a comedy sketch of a maga mom dropping her daughter off at the bus stop to go to school in the morning, then upset when a boy with a similar name gets iff in the afternoon. ‘What have they done to my girl?’ she cries. It’s that lib surgery she was so afraid of. Then her daughter gets off the bus.
Wow, some Floridians got together and got a whole bunch of LGBTQ themed books back in libraries! A story on AP "Florida district must resore books with LGBTQ+ content under settlement.
YAY! Our people in Floriduh doing the work in a hostile environment!
HA! PAB would debate Harris again if Jesse Watters is the moderator on Fox.
Mme VP could probably learn Pete Buttigieg's method for dismantling their bad faith bullshit, she could go on Fox and beclown Trump on his turf. Game over.
Thank goodness this isn't one of those years where outstanding competence is off-putting to the majority of Americans. One gets the feeling sometimes that America wants abusive relationships with their leaders.
My onions are flowering and I need to cut them off. The onions have probably bolting; I'll dig them up and use them ASAP. Time to plant new ones. I just plant the ends of the ones I use and aways get lots of onion greens to cook with. The flowers are edible, too. They provide a little onion pop in salads and such.
I think there's something important about consuming food that was grown outside your door, it grew in the same local conditions that you have lived in and provides a connection to the Earth just outside your walls.
I got a text invite to her appearance in Greensboro tomorrow I think. Unfortunately my health and finances make even a 90 mile trip out of the question. I did not respond, even though I wanted to explain why I wouldn't be there but you have my vote, but I was afraid I would end up being inundated with donation solicitations. I already get too many calls and texts that are disruptive as I try to keep up with my treatments.
I just finished going to the hospital and having an IV placed for an ultrasound endoscopy. When the doctor came in and asked my name, birthdate, and why I was there, I said I wasn't sure about why. I already had an endoscopy, several biopsies including masses in my esophagus and liver, plus CT scans and a PET scan. The doctor said he was wondering why I was there too, anything he did would not impact my treatment and it was too early to see if I was getting any better. So we decided to pull the IV and send me home.
Fortunately I have enough medical background to understand and question what is going on. All I can figure is the original endoscopy and pathology reports were done elsewhere and the new group put in an order for an endoscopy before those reports got to them. I'm also happy the new gastro doctor thoroughly reviewed my records before they wheeled me into the endoscopy room and had questions himself. And that I was familiar enough with what is happening to explain the background clearly. I'm not saying I have the knowledge of a doctor or FNP, but years ago I spent 12 years doing Social Security disability claims, so I do know a lot about cancer, the organs in your body, and how everything works together. And stayed curious about changes in treatments. But your liver still does what a liver did 30 years ago, and cancer still does what it did 30 years ago, with occasional leaps forward. I think the doctors and nurses appreciate the fact I understand basically what they are saying and doing the first time they talk about it, without resorting to "this is your liver." But going into the molecular level is beyond my grasp. I trust them to do the right thing.
[Hug Emoji] Kamala was great in Greensboro; I couldn't go either (live in Cary) but watched the livestream. So much wonderful energy! So many WOMEN of all ages!
I reamed out my Urology office today because I left a message with his nurse on Monday morning about something that might require a minor surgery (on me) and I had to call them back because I got no response.
My doctor is on vacation this week, but I asked why the question wasn't directed who was covering his patients while he's gone if problems come up, because a decent practice does that sort of thing. I have an appointment to see someone at 8:15 AM tomorrow.
Whatever it is, I hope it gets resolved right quick. The only uro operation I ever had was a transurethral resection of a high-grade bladder cancer, which fortunately got better pretty quickly.

I will be releasing an affidavit from an ABC whistleblower regarding the debate. I have just signed a non-disclosure agreement with the attorney of the whistleblower. The affidavit states how the Harris campaign was given sample question which were essentially the same questions that were given during the debate and separate assurances of fact checking Donald Trump and that she would NOT be fact checked. Accordingly, the affidavit states several other factors that were built into the debate to give Kamala a significant advantage. I have seen and read the affidavit and after the attorney blacks out the name of the whistleblower and other information that could dox the whistleblower, I will release the full affidavit. I will be releasing the affidavit before the weekend is out.
For anyone interested in the bollocks currently doing the rounds for Republicans who simply cannot accept that their chowder brained leader, their great suet golem of a strongman failed so miserably on Tuesday.
Here's a thing that should be plainly visible to everyone who has watched Harris and TFG: the former projects joy and enthusiasm and the latter bitterness and contempt. I really don't give a shit about the "policy" every pundit seems to be clamoring for. Based on their attitudes alone, I know what Harris wants to do FOR the people of this country and I know what TFG wants to do TO the people of this country. That's all I need to know.
The ruling seems to be sound, IMHO. As a liberal who is ALWAYS skeptical of prosecutorial overreach, I only want him charged and convicted for proper state law violations...

A friend of mine is there with her husband. I would share pictures, but it's unpossible.

Good work!
Ta, Evan. Winner, winner, vegan dinner.

Pete was the pretend-Mike-Pence when Kamala trained for the VP debate four years ago.
Doh!
That was good, she's honing her stump speech into a finely tuned fascist denial attack.
PAB Running scared. No more debates for him.
Look, his first debate was perfect, best debate EVER. Why mess with perfection?
WAH! SO UNFAIR!! whined the perfect hero of the Magoons.
What’s their meme? Fuck your feelings? PABs.
Tim is just 45 minutes away tonight but I wasn't able to make it. Hopefully he or Kamala will be back in the area again.
If you're in one of the seven states that matter, count on it.
Thank goodness this isn't one of those years where outstanding competence is off-putting to the majority of Americans. One gets the feeling sometimes that America wants abusive relationships with their leaders.
Right?! I will never understand this about American voters.

That and digging in the dirt. Seriously.
Yup, some of that dirt makes it into your internal biome.
If you like onions, be aware that there are a whole lot of ornamental ones that are lots of fun. I strongly recommend allium Schubertii.

I'm glad you feel comfortable with your health care. That is a good feeling, I am sure

Yes, because it was going to be a total surprise that they'd be asked questions about the economy, immigration, Ukraine, and climate change.
*Yawn*
Edit: An NDA? What is he agreeing not to disclose? The one-armed whistleblower's name? How convenient.
Do I detect the whiff of borscht?
Oh, and there's a new JD Vance podcast comment that's come to light where he says that the Civil War is continuing and he is on the side of the South.

Ah! Kamala picks up that much coveted Alberto R. Gonzales endorsement.
She didn't seek it out but it doesn't hurt. She doesn't inherit the sins of her endorsers.

I am skeptical of the idea of prosecutorial "overreach" when it comes to PAB.
