OT but now that we have reached peak eclipse in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia, I can attest to a disappointing experience...didn't dim at all really, just got a little 'less bright'...bummer...(80% BTW)

Wispy clouds and 93% coverage here. For 20-odd minutes, the landscape seemed to be lit from the sides, not from above, and the light went from yellow highlights to blue. Birds and bugs nonplussed.

Got a pretty good look from here in the Boston area! Little over 90%. But a little fuzzy without my regular glasses. Very cool!

In Dallas, there were patchy clouds as the eclipse began but clear blue sky at the time of totality.
