I think it would be a good move to explain what tariffs are and why the INDISCRIMINATE use of them is economic lunacy. A tariff is a kind of tax intended to protect domestic industry from foreign competition. First, to be fair, It may be an exaggeration to say that the consumer pays the entire amount of the tariff. Logically, the price of the tariffed product (say, foreign steel) faces price competition at several points: importation, wholesale/manufacture, and retail. In other words, businesses at several levels may end up eating some of the cost increase for the privilege of getting the sale over some other business at the same level. Still, the entire process would logically result in higher prices for the consumer. It certainly would not reduce them. So if you're going to impose tariffs, you should be VERY careful with the amounts and the precise industry/product to be affected. The overall effect would tend to be inflationary and could even lead to a "trade war" (which is crazy). It's also crazy to replace the progressive income tax with a regressive "tax" like tariffs. Of course, "regressive tax" is a phrase that makes GOP eyes light up with the intensity of a thousand suns.

He paid some of the bank debt but left smaller creditors, mostly construction people, hanging. After that he got involved in some other shaky real estate deals, and screwed some more people over. His only real success was his stint as host of "The Apprentice" where he netted in all about $400 million
As far back as you go. he always had a terrible reputation, and was known as "the guy you didn't want to get involved with" Having known of his shenanigans prior to him entering politics I thought it laughable when he announced his intention to run for POTUS. So did other people I know we all were totally shocked when he won.
