Article in WaPo about Kamala yesterday, and how she is an asset to Biden's campaign.

(Almost fainted, the WaPo does not seem at all like the paper I used to read.)

I commented I firmly believe Harris has gotten all that shit because she is the first female VP.

And she's black. 64 likes so far, I was surprised.

If Joe Biden for some reason can't make it to election day, it would be a travesty if Kamala Harris wasn't given the nod.

Feeling nostalgic.

I remember the whole school being evacuated and us all standing around outside due to a bomb threat, back when I was in 7th or 8th grade in the mid 1950s.

We were so avant guarde.

"Embryos, to me, are babies," former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley told NBC.

A mild cranial emission shortly thereafter:

"I didn’t say that I agreed with the Alabama ruling," Haley told CNN.

Nikki effed around and got schooled in the same news cycle.

This article from The Daily Beast made me so mad I dropped my gefilte fish and muttered "Oy Vey!"

"FOX NEWS STAR: BLACK PEOPLE WILL VOTE FOR TRUMP BECAUSE 'THEY LOVE SNEAKERS'

Leaning especially hard into well-worn racial stereotypes, Fox News pundit Raymond Arroyo this week insisted Black Americans will support Donald Trump in this presidential election because “they love sneakers.”

A religion has no valid claim to demand obedience from people who aren’t members, and that includes members of other religions. A fundamentalist Christian who claims a right to discriminate against LGBTQ people might object to a fundamentalist Hindu claiming a right to discriminate against meat-eaters.

HuffPo: https://www.huffpost.com/entry/desantis-says-conservative-media-would-ignore-trump-shooting-someone-on-fifth-avenue_n_65d768fee4b0189a6a7d27fa

"Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) expressed no interest in being former President Donald Trump’s vice president during a call with supporters on Wednesday, according to multiple reports.

In the half-hour call, DeSantis also reportedly opined that it would be a “mistake” for Trump to consider “identity politics” when he eventually picks a running mate, according to The New York Times and NBC News, which obtained recordings of the call.

“Now, we have a diverse Republican Party. I want everybody in the fold, don’t get me wrong. But I don’t want people representing 10, 15% of the party being in the driver’s seat,” DeSantis said, per NBC News."

Fucking DeSantos.

I just got done spending 6 weeks, about 15 hours spread over that time, pulling a fire permit for a corporate event on Disney property.

Disney's always been a pain in the ass, but at least they delivered. I've always had to let them do everything their way, and as I've always said, "At Disney, everything is an illusion. Including the service."

But now that DeSantos has replaced the Reedy Creek Improvement District (Disney's weird private local government entity) with the "Central Florida Tourism Oversight District" run by his cronies, their system is broken. Something that used to take me a couple hours max., is now such an ordeal I've already turned down a couple gigs on Disney property later this year.

Which is, of course, what DeSantos wants. I hate to give in. But my clients don't want to pay me the additional money I need to bill to jump through these ridiculous hoops.

I pull fire permits all the time, all over the country. Clark County, NV used to be the most annoying process. Those were innocent times.

The personnel and the actual Fire Marshals are fine. I get along with them great. I know what they want. My diagrams all show what they want. The actual setup matches the diagram to the inch. We're golden. But man, getting through the process to get to that point is uckfayed beyond belief. And it's not accidental.

Who was it who had the stats on the numbers of the women who were getting fertilized via IVF? Some 92% of women using that method were White?

And in 2020, the number of White women voting for Donald Trump went UP, not down ...?

Was it Portia?

Yes, it was. Here it is

"92% of those using IVF to conceive are White. The majority of White women vote Republican and have for 60 years. Increased for Trump 2016-2020. Keep bringing the consequences of your actions on yourselves."
