Kind of OT, but education related. I saw this Trump Education Plan floating around Twitter but I couldn't tell if it was real or not. So I went around the Google and found an article about it. There's a link in the article to his campaign site for the real thing but I didn't want to go there. Dumbest thing is having school principals elected by parents. There's other dumb shit, also, too.
This is the 3rd speech I’ve watched from Kamala Harris this week, and I have to say I’m even more enthusiastic about her candidacy than ever before.
1. She speaks with joy, enthusiasm, forcefulness, and is amazingly articulate - as compared to TFG, who speaks with anger, hatred, and rambles on incoherently about toilets and sharks and other bullshit.
2. She modified her remarks for the specific occasion to focus on education and unions, but still hit the other points of her vision for the future: reproductive rights, paid family leave, assistance to caregivers, sensible gun control measures, etc.
3. She shifted away from her “prosecutor v felon” narrative - which is a good one - to focus on the evils of Project 2025, the policies of which elicited loud “boos” from the audience.
4. Instead, she focused on her “we are not going back, we are going forward” narrative, which is just as - if not more - strong. She’s making this an election about both character AND policy, which is incredibly smart.
Tl;dr: Kamala Harris is distinguishing herself with both her relative youth and communication skills, which is making me incredibly excited about this campaign.
Yes, I agree with all of it. I think this is the 4th speech I've watched (if you count the one at the campaign HQ. I do think she does a good job changing up some stuff to fit the audience. And she presents the Project 2025 stuff in a digestible way; just enough to get people interested without getting too far in the weeds.
As much as I love Joe, he’s never been a great orator. It’s incredibly smart of Harris to continue to express support for Biden, his character, and his policies, while mapping out HER vision for the future. The fact that she brings such vitality and great communication skills shows how incredibly smart this decision was, even if I initially had concerns.
""Let me say at the outset, Kamala can’t have my guns, she can’t have my gasoline engine and she sure as hell can’t have my steaks and cheeseburgers,” Cruz told Fox News’ Sean Hannity."
I am getting kinda suspicious (delightedly suspicious) that the Biden and Harris had thought of dropping this bomb on Trump for a long time and waited for the end of their Nuremberg style rally to do it.
Was watching her speech about being a prosecutor from a couple days ago over lunch. 1st thought: those are some GOOD and Memorable lines. 2nd thought: Gosh she's pretty when she's smiling smugly
Ta, Evan. Yes, our next President.

Just watching this now....such a breath of fresh air!
Pround NEA member here, at an institution with hundreds of members. We're all on board!!!
I marched with NEA in Nashville years ago when the state house was doing a Wisconsin to them. Solidarity!
I love the AFT. Let's go Harris!
Harris County for Harris & Company! Save us, USA
Have you seen her first campaign commercial?
TFG at a hitler rally, trying to make fun of Kamala:
"....I'm a prosecutor and he's a convicted felon."
KH: "I'm Kamala Harris and I approve this message."
THAT'S IT!! SEVEN SECONDS OF PERFECTION!!!
Will she also speak to the other teachers’ union, the NEA?
MY UNION!
I sure hope she does.
She's crushing it. Fuck yeah.
Fuck Ted Cruz, Wednesday Edition:
""Let me say at the outset, Kamala can’t have my guns, she can’t have my gasoline engine and she sure as hell can’t have my steaks and cheeseburgers,” Cruz told Fox News’ Sean Hannity."

She doesn't want your damn cheeseburgers, Ted. Fuck Ted Cruz.
Cruz probably doesn’t even own guns. Or if he does, they’re just for show and he never loads them and has no clue how they actually work.
You forget -- he's perfected the art of cooking bacon on the barrel of a rifle. Sure, it is a bit tartare in spots, but it's the Fuckted Cruz Way.
I assume there's some place in Texas that rents guns to politicians for photo ops
Wanna bet, dipshit?

Say has anyone ever seen Alex Jones and JD Vance is the same room? Just asking questions -
From the Internets.
Kamala Harris has raised so much money that Clarence Thomas wants to vacation with her.
😂😂😂

Excellent speech, followed by the VP's theme music.
