I’m going to put a marker down here and say that Little Marco will be the first cabinet member that Trump will belittle, give a demeaning nickname to, and fire by tweet.

In fact, I think Trump nominated him just so he could do that to him.

I just got into it with my Trumpy Neighbor. She insists that Pete Hegseth can't be a drunk because he's a Christian. I pointed out that his co-workers said he came to work drunk at Fox and reeking of alcohol. She said, "They'd never say that because they like him."

I said, "You can like somebody and still admit he's a drunk."

She could not see this as being a possibility.

From the Associated Press:

"One of Trump’s more controversial picks, Kash Patel for FBI director, made a brief appearance Wednesday at a private Senate GOP lunch at the Capitol.

“I’m thoroughly enjoying the advise and consent process,” Patel said in the halls afterward. “I look forward to meeting with as many senators as possible.”

Patel was being escorted in and out of the closed-door lunch by GOP Sen. Thom Tillis of North Carolina who said he’s supporting the nominee and expects he’ll have a confirmation hearing soon."
