The REGIME. JFC these people are ridiculous.

Gingerwentworth's Theory's avatar

Some regime! It is the most patient regime in history. I'd like to see that regime rear up with big claws and breathe flame over those mofos, and bellow "What the hell is it with you people? There's no telling when he may pull off his mask! As a matter of fact he told me-- he told me he planned to tear off his mask, stomp on it, then shove it down Nohendra Modi's throat! Something wrong with that? Cause he told me that's in the new guidelines. ACCORDING, to Dr. Tony Fauci!! Yup it's true! Thanks, everyone! Thanks for coming and helpiing out. Yup now get out."

Stuff it up your ass, Faux Noise bimbo. Adios!

OHJB will do the right thing and mask up with a scientifically effective model, but I'd love to see him in one with a "Dark Brandon" vibe.

Villago Delenda Est πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡¦'s avatar

So the Faux Noise bimbo is whining about masks. Surprise, surprise.

I just put on the GA hearing about 15 minutes ago. DA seems to have a solid argument against severance.

Oh, cripes, a moranic "gotcha!" question.

These reporters aren't there to ascertain information. They're there to trial run the story lines they've already written and potentially get a quote.

It's so much simpler to start with the narrative and look for material that fits, versus examining everything and figuring out what it means.

Separate the FEMA request from the Ukraine funding? Why should they? Pass one bill, cut the time in half. Of course, Putin's stooges in Congress are not interested in this.

Odd thought that came to mind reading an article at Mother Jones about how teachers can't afford to live in their districts....(housing costs way too high).

What if the reason behind the perception vs reality on inflation is because the gov't official numbers are calculated differently from how ordinary people experience things? Perhaps the prices on things like "appliances" are stable, but no one sees that because they don't buy them every day?

ZOMG, the WH staff is human! Crucify them!

Oh god. It's just a stupid error. Everything Trump did was made up.

Over at the hearing....

Can't get the Zoom thingy to work. Maybe try a cat filter?

NO ONE fucking cares about that except right wing media hacks.

There's such a funny story where a man describes where all the things wound up after a tornado-- I think some things end up in the future-- it's very funny. That;s how I feel about George Soros when I read crazy-- well I don't know how I get to these commenters. I think I'm just watching Karen videos, but often I end up inside a mob of far right people and the regularity of the Soros name turning up-- only a highly motivated billionaire teenager could get into the highly specific activities attributed to this 90 year old-- this man none of us would ever have heard of, I don't think, if not for these guys. Just as powerful and with the same weird ideas as a tornado about what needs doing. All I ever actually heard about him was that he supplied the sixth grade year of some US middle school with all their supplies once.

CripesAmighty's avatar

Heh. Yeah. Nobody gave a shit about George's long-running, anodyne good works until journalists exposed the Koch network hiding behind 'foundations' and 'think tanks'.

Needing a target for 'whataboutism', and the simmering antisemitism of the made George the ideal target.

OT: we had a potluck at work today and the theme was "Childhood Favorites" so everyone was supposed to bring a dish that brought back memories. We had homemade lumpia and a curry and mac-n-cheese and Lil' Smokies in BBQ and a giant crockpot full of Spaghetti-O's, with 2 pitchers of Kool Aid to drink. Everyone had a blast and it was dirt cheap. Food for thought (pun 100% intended) if you need to plan an event :)

Just don't do what I did and set a bloodwork appt for the same day as the potluck - no food for me!

"Goulash" at our house was kind of like a sloppy joes and Mac n cheese mashup without the cheese. I never know till way into adult how farfarfaaaaar from the real thing it was.

Tin Kitty, Childless Lady Cat's avatar

That was "goulash" for me too!! And we won't talk about the dish my great grandma called "chop suey" either 🀣

Midwest home cooking. Pies at our house were killer, though.

Kraft Mac and cheese from the blue and yellow box!

Or Kraft Dinner for our friends in the Great White North :D

Let's see now, for me it would be home sliced bologna (cheaper when bought as a loaf) on wonder bread (from the "day old outlet" washed down with luke-warm tang. Youngest of 5 so I usually ended up with the ends of both loafs. Ahh, but we were happier in those days even though we were poor. Not really, it sucked.

I brought my "poor kid candy bars" from when I was a poor youth - melt chocolate chips in a bowl and dip saltines in them :D

There was a potluck lunch at my kid’s kindergarten of which the theme was favorite foods. There were lots of Mac and Cheeses there, as I recall. It was 20 years ago.

PrimerGray's avatar

That's a good idea. Although, my brother could possibly bring cooked macaroni and ketchup. It seems like he ate nothing but that for a year when he was four.
