The biggest risk to national security right now is right wing extremis, per the DHS and the FBI.

People crossing the border do not pose any fucking threat of this type. Go eat a whole bag of salted rat dicks, you miserable fuck.

Bibi has no problem with Palestinian civilian casualties, but the US officially can't say that.

The usual stupid questions to the Admiral.

"If you've got nothing to hide, what are you worried about?"

says Tom Cole explaining why this impeachment inquiry is just, like, no big... just formal procedures and general paperwork.

Probably already in the works.

Villago Delenda Est πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡¦'s avatar

The scum of Big Oil are working on it, I'm sure, they've got plenty of experience in depriving Native Americans of oil royalties, after all.

clairence's avatar

Even if the House doesn't impeach, the Republicans have already diminished the legitimacy of Impeachment, which was presumably the intent. "So what if Trump was impeached twice? It's just a petty parlor tactic."

SkeptiKC's avatar

Rethuglicons have done nothing but DEFLECT their own petulant disregard for impeachment derived from having manipulated and summarily tainted the entire process for the purpose of saving their OWN collective ass and retaining power at the time.

I resent the HELL out of the way these fuckers exploit and manipulate the constitutional process.

EyeQueue's avatar

It's all part of the neo-fascist "flood the zone with shit" bullshit they are engaging with to make the public not trust anything and to think the government in its totality is corrupt.

It's bullshit.

Republicans must take the hypocritical oath!

EyeQueue's avatar

It has nothing to do with hypocrisy.

Hypocrisy is a common human failing that we are all subject to at some point or another.

This is pure fascism. It's OK for them to do it, but not anyone to the left of Atilla the Hun.

I guess Dark Brandon won't like that. Not sure what I think about that.

BREAKING: Israeli ambassador @TzipiHotovely rejects the idea of a two-state solution

"The answer is absolutely no", she says.

Villago Delenda Est πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡¦'s avatar

Fuck him. Fuck all Zionist Absolutists who refuse to work for peace.

defpac's avatar

In case you are talking about the ambassador, he is a she.

Villago Delenda Est πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡¦'s avatar

Thank you. Hebrew names don't very well conform to English notions of a masculine or feminine name.

defpac's avatar

Yeah, no idea what she (her government) thinks to achieve here.

But honestly: why is always Israel supposed to have a plan&offer?!

Sorry, but was there ever a Palestinian leader who made any realistic plan&offer?

AFAIK, Arafat rejected Oslo, never made a counter proposal?!

So, I get it, Israel (esp under Bibi) really sucks in terms of having good ideas, but as said: was there ever an idea on the other side that didn't come down to "we take all the land and you be glad if we don't kill all of you"?!

Villago Delenda Est πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡¦'s avatar

Because I like to think that the Israelis are the adults here. Arafat didn't qualify as same. But now BiBi and his fellow hard-core allies aren't interested in a two state solution, and flat out reject it. This is the path to genocide, either the Israelis on the Palestinians, or the Palestinians on the Israelis. No peace possible, not without justice for both parties.

defpac's avatar

It is quite interesting, I listen to the daily podcast of the "German" IDF spokesperson . He sounds so much more reasonable than Bibi and his bunch.

Well that's gonna be a problem.

clairence's avatar

Just tuned in to the House. Donalds lays it out: "that's it". There's not a whole lot there. Hunter is not a public figure, so can't he pursue slander/libel charges against, well, the whole of the RNC and right wing media?

clairence's avatar

If you have something to say, please do so. Random Reddit clips aren't really going to advance whatever message you might want to present.

Maybe you could spread your propaganda elsewhere. Because that would be great.

Villago Delenda Est πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡¦'s avatar

The unfortunate thing is the parallels are shocking.

SkeptiKC's avatar

As in broader aspects that in fact may well be, but the fact remains that you do NOT hold private citizens either responsible for or as alternative targets for the inhumanities of their depraved leaders.

Villago Delenda Est πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡¦'s avatar

No, but that's precisely what both sides are doing to each other right now. This shit will stop, I fear, when every Israeli and every Palestinian is dead.

SkeptiKC's avatar

That's what frightens me. I just want this nightmare to stop.

Rivers of blood solve nothing.

OT, I'm going to yield 1 minute to myself:

Someone just mentioned that there were corporations or whatever with 9 members of the "Biden family" who got money from foreign governments...I can't follow of course, but once upon a time, I worked as a receptionist at a lobbying firm, and each year we got interns in the summer who had "connected" names (sons of governors, daughters of representatives) and they never had to do anything except hang out, sit in on meetings, go play golf with clients...so you tell me.

Boogie Mama's avatar

I still cringe when I think of Princess Sparklebarf (the loved Trump child) in her ridiculous little infantilizing getups playing around with international leaders like she fucking mattered.

SkeptiKC's avatar

That was a wince-compelling global gawd damned embarrassment for the entire United States.

As they say in the vernacular, the cringe almost killed me.

As I recall, Hunter actually does have a little experience in international corporate law, so there was *some* rationale for the appointment.

Babe Paley's avatar

It's not awesome, but yes, your name can be a benefit (I'm sorry everyone, I should have warned you to sit down to take this news).

Hell, I got roles in community theater when I was a kid because people knew who my mom was in the small town theater community.

Villago Delenda Est πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡¦'s avatar

Nepobabies can be found EVERYWHERE. One of the Captains in one of my units was the son of a four star general. Having the name definitely helps.

oscarphile's avatar

Esp. among GOP presidential candidates. The most recent four have been

the son of a millionaire

the son of a governor

the son of a four-star admiral

the son of a president

They have not chosen a candidate from a middle-class background since Dole in '94. (But we're the elitists.)
