Now that a friend has fixed the leaky toilet, I don't have any scary house noises, thank the Lord.

Now if only a particular person would just choke on a hamberder, we could have some peace and quiet.

We're real sure they had a good reason for doing this.

No Lie with Brian Tyler Cohen:

Glenn Youngkin’s administration just admitted they have purged THOUSANDS of Virginia voters from the voter rolls ahead of next week’s critical elections.

They previously said they were only removing about 270 voters.

This is just wrong. They should be required to do so where voters have sufficient time to verify they're still registered or can re-register before the election.

It'd be like those pharma ads where actors talk about coming to terms with their diagnosis of FC, and what the new treatment options have meant to them.

They don't tell you what the hell FC is. They want you to search it so they drive up web hits, I guess. "Promoting Awareness."

It's outrageous that we do. Nobody else does. Yet they work, or the pharmas wouldn't spend billions on them ($8 billion last year on TV ads alone). Doctors are writing off-label prescriptions of diabetes drugs so their patients can lose weight without eating less. And some of them, their digestive systems are going dormant; because that's how the drug works, which is why it's only supposed to be used for people who would otherwise die of diabetes so the risk is worth it. But the rich and spoiled badger their private on-retainer doctors, who are perfectly willing to prescribe $1000/month drugs to keep their clients.

The stark difference between the trump and Biden projects is on full display with Karine and Kirby. Coherent and largely truthful. It's somewhat difficult to recall just how horrible were Sean Spicer, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, Stephanie Grisham, and Kayleigh McEnany at their jobs.

That tripe was unwatchable and of zero value.

She didn't. Spicer was worth watching, the first one or two times. If only to add context to Melissa McCarthy's dynamite SNL parodies.

The one where she, as Spicy, had the custom self-propelled lectern and was ramming it into everybody was genius. And foreshadowed Smoky-Eyed Sarah eerily.

Republicans: What if we pay for aid to Israel by cutting tax revenue?

From WaPo:

"House Republicans on Monday announced a proposal to pay for emergency aid to Israel by cutting the expansion of the Internal Revenue Service that President Biden had approved, an effort aimed at cracking down on rich tax cheats and improving taxpayer service."
