"...receiving more than $5 billion in revenue from federal contracts..." And there's a big part of our problem. I remember a time br (before Reagan), when we hired government workers to do things for us. Not all things, no, but a lot of things. You see, we had Democratic majorities that realized we could do things cheaper that way because a corporation needs to make a profit, and the government just needs to get things done. However, we had the Reaganites preaching that, "Private entities do everything better". And people believed that shit. I KNOW this because when I worked for a county in California I told my boss I could save us 40,000 dollars a year if I got rid of all of my contractors and just hired 6 more employees, and we would get better and faster work done. I was told my proposal was great, but would never get by our Republican run board. It's NEVER been about fiscal responsibility.
Well, the White House was completely gutted to its exterior walls during the 1949-1952 renovation. I think we'll need something even more drastic to get the Drumpf stank out of it.
While I totally agree that most of her plans will get watered down a bit in the process of negotiation, this particular one is all about who her administration will bring on. Which she would have full control over, right?
I don't think Elizabeth or her new AG Kamala need permission from anyone to create a Task Force or who to assign the job to. The same with applying rules for her staff to follow.
Yes, of course. However, finding these folks and vetting them is a challenge (not impossible). And, because of the boldness of her standards, they (and her) will be continuously inspected, studied, dissected under a microscope, for anything resembling a contradiction. That is a lot of pressure for the next POTUS (not a bad thing). There’s also the possibility that the best person for the job might have some aspect of these standards that they can’t change to 100% meet them. There’s always room for circumstantial compromise if the benefit outweighs the loss.
Her standards are not unreasonable. But I have every expectation that there are ways to get around them using clever titles and corporate structures. She’s up against an entire system of influence and kickbacks, and it’s apparently been 100% acceptable for a while.
I'm pretty sure by now she's got a staffer holding that thing in a clamp (needle nose pliers) with a knife ready to chop it off the moment she wins.
No need to worry or wonder about his balls, she already has those in a biodegradable souvenir case for convenient environmentally friendly disposal whenever she wants.
If Hillz had done that, Trump would have lost.

Thank you !
Do you know what 1/21/21 is? It's a Thursday!
Let out all the people in for drug use and other stupid non-crimes and there will be room for them.
What's the margin of error on that poll? CNN wants a horse-race and they are not above fudging the numbers.
She was already my top choice, now I will have to vote for her twice I guess.

Can we appoint Kamala as our AG and give her the job of picking the Head of the Task Force? Can we? Can we? Please Mom!

If she's the nominee they'll go after her for everything she's ever done in her life. Better get ready for it. She's ready and she's not afraid.
It's a given, but I see history repeating itself.
