absolutely nothing is going to come of these recent revelations. just watching durbin (who i find incredibly weak) only confirms how the committee's investigation is toothless. ginny thomas isn't going to appear and they are too cowardly to send marshalls to drag her ass to the hill.. adam schiff even commented that appealing to her sense of patriotism would propel her to testify. ffs -- she was trying to organize the overthrow of the duly elected president!

If you can afford a pricey lawyer, and to keep paying them, you can get away with most anything.

But Navarro has an answer for that, and it is to insist that he knows how to law more goodly than the Committee. "If he waived the privilege, I will be happy to comply; but I see no effort by the Committee to clarify this matter with President Trump, which is bad faith and bad law.” he told the AP.

And irony yeeted itself into traffic for about the zillionth time this year.

Along those lines, I guess I need to pick my battles better. I posted what I thought was a thoughtful response to someone earlier, along the lines of “I know you’re frustrated, but here’s the facts about what actually is happening.” In reply, I got a snarky comment about the length of my post, and then they proceeded to completely ignore everything I said.

I desperately wanted to say that I looked forward to them joining the DOJ because they obviously had the prerequisites of a law degree & appropriate experience as a criminal prosecutor. But I didn’t, because I’m classy as fuck. 😁

I understand this completely.

The worst is when you realize it's the same half dozen or so commeters spouting the same bullshit gibberish again and again and again over and over.

no action was taken to reinforce the Capitol police

Actually the opposite happened, and it was deliberate on the part of the Capitol Police administration. Graveyard staff who expected to be held over were told to go home. Swing shift personnel who knew from their Farcebook feeds that they were going to be needed were turned away. The FBI called up all local forces and offered them to back up the police and were turned down. Armored vehicles, water cannons and sonic weapons were left in the armory, and hard shutters for the doors were left in storage. Many of the windows on the first floor had recently been reinforced, but rioters knew which had not and went directly to those to break in. The mob broke into the building because they were **SUPPOSED** to be able to.

Webcam linked to an Onlyfans site, so Navarro can help reduce the deficit.

Bannon was pardoned, wasn’t he? That means he must commit new crimes.

I like John McCain’s response to it.

Whooppee… Garland is a Reich Wing hack who’s waiting out the clock ‘till the RepubliKKKans steal the next election.

This is for shit AFTER the pardon. He blew off the subpoena and COULD have been arraigned because of it...It was COMPLETELY in the DOJ's power...And yet

conti ben's avatar

I stand corrected!

Could they have issued a gag order on his though?

Boojum's avatar

Doesn’t he have a trial date? I mean, I haven’t been paying that much attention to Bannon, but that would indicate we’ve already done indictment and arraignment.

true that...That he is allowed to keep spreading his propaganda and filth is what has ME scratching my head...But I suppose if he hasn't been found guilty...
