What, you'd rather see a photo of Sharron Angle? Nevada may never be as crazy as Florida or Texas, but you have to admire how the Silver State keeps itself in the running with politicians like Michele Fiore and "colorful" seditionists like the Bundy family. To help keep the state's reputation for weirdness up, tea party nutbag Sharron Angle, out to lose a second bid for the U.S. Senate, has come through once again just before Tuesday's primaries. In an online newsletter (and a dead-trees version mailed to voters) last week, Angle's campaign accidentally
The possibility of a "conservative gene" actually has been studied in great detail by Professor of Psychology Bob Altemeyer, who is retired from the University of Manitoba. His years of research served as the basis for John Dean's excellent book Conservatives Without Conscience. The professor produced a test and a scale for what he calls RWA (Right-Wing Authoritarianism). Much of his data were collected in a study of North American politicians, people Altemeyer describes as "by turns, submissive and aggressive."
Dean encouraged Altemeyer to publish a monograph on his research in layperson's language. The Authoritarians is available as a PDF with a link on his website: http://home.cc.umanitoba.ca...He added a postscript about Donald Trump this year:https://archive.org/details...
I wasn't thinking about fava beans and Chianti, only about "Buffalo Bill's" obsession (to paraphrase): "What does he covet? What he sees every day." I apologize to anyone who thought there was actual cleverness going on.
You know, if running a campaign by sitting around a table with some pizza, beers and a bong actually worked, Angle would be a shoo-in. For crissakes!! Is this really the best we have to send to govern us?
I never could figure out if LaRouche was left or right (since he was from Mars it didn't matter). But there are others, right? I guess sometimes Maxine Waters gets a little wild-eyed?
Only, I don't think one has ever won the party nomination. Maybe all the fluoride in our water makes us boring.

Christine O'Donnell tried that. It didn't work for her, and she had to make a commercial assuring us she's not a witch.
Mike Barnacle on Sharon Angle: "She sounds like a mental patient."
Please Sharon remind us all of your views on the dangers of fluoride again. Maybe this time we can make to ten seconds before we laugh at you.
Does it always have to be about food?
If you are speaking of our very own Denny Heck he actually hasn't been doing that bad a job despite the lame slogan.

That's what I do here!
Outlawing the sale of alcohol. I think that was tried before, once.
She weighs more than a duck, as well, so we all know she's not a witch.
I've seen it too. Furry versions as well.
Mental patient libel.

What a cute little doggie.
