Louisiana Cop Resigns After Wishing He Could Go Baton Rogue On Some Blacks

Michael Elsbury, a 15-year-veteran with the Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Police Department, resigned Thursday after a local teevee station detailed racist texts that Officer Elsbury had sent. No doubt this is just one more example of how Political Correctness has destroyed Free Speach in Barack Obama's America.

Now, just how racist were Elsbury's texts? Pretty goddamned racist, in point of fact:

Part of the string of texts read, "They are nothing but a bunch of monkeys. The only reason they have this job is the nigger, nigger in them." [ We have un-redactedthat word. You can handle it. -- Dok Z.] 

The texts also read, "I wish someone would pull a Ferguson on them and take them out. I hate looking at those African monkeys at work...I enjoy arresting those thugs with their saggy pants."

It's not clear whether "this job" referred to the black fellow officers in BRPD, or to some other job, possibly Al Sharpton's or Barack Obama's. Does it really matter, since no black person has ever held a job without affirmative action stealing it from a deserving white genius like Elsbury?

The texts were apparently given to the TV station and to Baton Rouge PD by the recipient, a female friend of Elsbury who is not on the police force. Can't imagine why she might have had a negative reaction to them; you almost get the sense that Elsbury's ability to judge the reactions of his friends is just about as highly developed as his ability to function as a police officer in 21st century America. There's probably a good science fiction story to be written about how this was all the result of a tragic time-travel adventure gone wrong, and Elsbury is just a regular cop trying to return to 1975 Johannesburg. Poor guy was just trying so hard to hide his Afrikaans accent that he forgot to hide his attitude.

Louisiana NAACP President Ernest Johnson was glad that Elsbury resigned, but also wants a fuller accounting of Elsbury's history:

“If those reports are true,” he said, “there’s no place in our community or anywhere in this country for a person upholding the safety of the law to make the kinds of comments that I saw.”

Johnson said he still wants answers about Elsbury’s past police conduct, including whether any of his arrests were racially motivated. Johnson also wanted to know whether the texts reflect the views of anyone else in the department.

“I don’t want this to end with him resigning,” Johnson said. “I think there’s more to it than that.”
