On Tuesday, a Fuck The Gays bill, HB 707 -- similar to the Religious Freedom Restoration Acts (RFRAs) that passed, and were subsequently "fixed" like common dachschunds, in Indiana and Arkansas --died in a Louisiana House committee in a 10-2 vote. Gov. Bobby Jindal will not stand for this act of gay activist democracy, so he decided that if the House won't do its duty, to Jesus and America, and pass the bill, he will just write his own version of the bill and
Ah, Bobby, didn't anyone tell you that smart people learn from their own mistakes, but wise people learn from the mistakes of others? Is the swamp gas around Baton Rouge getting to you?
Begs the question, who will the average ignorant, racist, homophobe GOTeaP'er vote for: a white ignorant, racist, homophobe or an asian ignorant, racist, homophobe? Bobby hasn't got a chance so his assact is really pathetic.
I saw on the local (New Orleans) news last night how the committee clobbered the clusterfuck that was HB 707. I watched that story with my mother who, bless her heart*, doesn't really understand GLBT issues or concerns (but who still loves me, so yay). Despite her somewhat religious stance on things, my dear mother (who has a surprisingly fantastic education despite living in this godforsaken state all her life) can't even understand what the fuck the bill is supposed to do.
Some person testifying in front of the committee mentioned something about homosexuals' "vicious attacks" in recent history, and I quipped "I'd really like to know where these attacks occurred." My mother agreed completely and asked "What the fuck is this supposed to be about?"
*Surprisingly not meant in the condescending Southern way which is the polite way of saying "go fuck yourself."
Completely ignored of course by Jindal in his "hate away teh gai" is that Republicans sort of hate executive action to get around the legislature/Congress when black presidents do it, but certainly love it when they do...
He always looked totally confused to me. And so he is.
Has Bobby Jindal has ever been to New Orleans? Doesn't sound like it. If he has, I'll just assume he had a bad experience with a female impersonator.

Gotta watch your drinking when you're on Bourbon Street. Or so I've heard...
Damn you! Now you're making me crave crawfish étouffée!
No one threw him any beads, apparently...
Psht. This wannabe isn't even The Kingminnow...

Has he officially thrown his asshat into the ring yet?
I've totally lost track of the current Clown Car occupants.
