A Lowe's department store in Danville, Virginia, was perhaps just a little too eager to please a customer who demanded that a black delivery driver stay away from her home, as some idiot at the store actually sent the truck back with a white crew so she could get her precious order of whatever the hell it was she bought.
How I wish racist assholes would get bug-eyed, from all the pressure the hot air in their sculls causes, so I could refuse them any- and everything, to include medical care (let's try to improve the gene-pool, folks). I would proudly carry around a sign declaring my dislike and refusal to interact with racist, bigoted fuck-faces for the rest of my life.
That's fine, as I don't think there is any disagreement here that the manager made the wrong decision. All I was trying to get across is that this manager might not be an idiot, racist sympathizer... There seem to be some on this thread that have no problems making that leap.
I guess it's just my personal experience in retail talking, but I feel that the manager was thrown under the bus by the higher-ups... As in my experience, the general vibe is almost always "whatever you do, don't jeopardize the sale!" when dealing with the mid-level / district manager types.
As a black woman who has spent my life as the only chip in the cookie, I'm going to say this, It was the right thing to do to take him off the delivery. Not because that rank bitch deserved any respect. ("BUST UP YOUR OWN CHIFFAROBE, MAYELLA!") but because he didn't deserve to be put in that position. These are the first people to accuse you of stealing or rape or going for a gun. Bradley would've been taking on all the risk and we have enough dead black people hashtags.
Knowing my level of sarcasm, either I would have just refunded the person money and tell her to go F herself it's 2015 not 1915, or I would have just delivered the appliance on the curb and left.
