Welp, we've made it this far, but I am so f-ing sick of MLY and his minions destroying our country and enriching themselves in the process. And yet, it's going to get worse as we approach the midterms and whatever fuckery they have planned when the blue tsunami hits 'em upside the head, so have to keep on hanging in there. Growl, hiss.

I've been invited on a trip to Greece in September, decision date to go is in a few weeks. Between worried about going due to mom stuff and who knows what hell will arise by the time we get to September. One of the reasons I hate that asshole the most is wondering how safe it would be to travel that far. Fuck.

Jjamie's avatar

I hate to ask, but who is MLY?

In the days just before Israel made its attack on Gaza, there was a webcam feed

from a home there, from their second floor. You could hear distant explosions

amid calls to prayer. The striking thing was the many roosters crowing, as if an alarm.

I know now that all that was there, is now dead and gone, even the sad roosters.

I hope that we don't fall like that.

.

I did a recording from it:

https://noodlehut.bandcamp.com/track/the-three-minutes-war

It's a tough one, but do it in remembrance the roosters and their lost caretakers.

(not an ad, not AI, I just want people to hear it)

I can't. I would start to cry. And if I start, I will not be able to stop. I would cry for it all, for every dead person, for every harm, for every starving person. And I would cry for this country.

Why So Lugubrious?'s avatar

I deserve to fail. Seriously. But I usually don’t because I value community, effort, and the input of colleagues.

InMyRoom's avatar

You don't deserve to fail. You have succeeded. Take joy in that.

Max Miller was a key Trump aide in 2020 who helped plan the Jan 6 rally. He was deep in that business, he heard all the plans. And then he disappeared mid-rally, when the violence started to unfold over at the Capitol, and never plausibly explained what he was doing.

WE ARE NOT AT ALL SURPRISED

I am shout-typing because it took both this long and this level of abuse for collective "us" to ... find this out

when these kinds of details have been out here the whole time

I don't blame any D Congressman who does any kind of "EW get away from me, you SKEEVE" gesture at this sludge of a man because he got them TERRORIZED on the floors of the Capitol

AND HE IS STILL HOLDING A CONGRESSIONAL SEAT

I am really enraged -- but you know who else just ought to be enraged because he was terrorized too, and we know that because we saw him running?

Josh Hawley

If he's going to share a party affiliation with this guy if not a chamber and not even react?

We ought to insist he be seated right next to him, and we'll see how that goes

Enter Ranting's avatar

Oh, we're coming for his abusive ass.

lmurr's avatar

I wanted to punch him in the face for what he said to Fauci. Of course he's neck deep in Jan 6. He's a scheming abusive piece of shit.

*blinks* Just woke up from a long nap. So. Isn't today the day that the 2 holdout Repubes capitulate on Blanche cuz' he "issued" some lying, loophole-laden letter on the slush fund?

Land Shark 🇺🇦 🏳️‍⚧️'s avatar

Correct. TODD issued some lame ass recission that isn't legally binding because none of the people involved in the "settlement" agreement signed off.

TerseNurse's avatar

"we'll stop calling it a 'slush fund'

"Deal!"

Last year, RFK ordered the CDC's Foodborne Diseases Active Surveillance Network to stop tracking cyclosporiasis.

If corporations are people then the board can go to prison when the corporation breaks the law.

That’s very disappointing about Gov. Moore buddying up to Mullin.

Trump Administration Live Updates: Republican Holdouts Say They Now Support Blanche Nomination

Blanche nomination: Senators John Cornyn of Texas and Thom Tillis of North Carolina, the two Republican senators who had threatened to block Todd Blanche’s confirmation as attorney general, now say they support his nomination. They did so after Mr. Blanche, the acting attorney general, confirmed in writing on Sunday that the Justice Department had abandoned parts of a deal it struck with President Trump to resolve his lawsuit against the I.R.S., including a planned $1.8 billion fund to pay those who claim they were unfairly prosecuted by the government.

2Cats2Furious's avatar

Trust me, the fund is going to be resurrected, although they might wait until after the midterms.

EyeQueue's avatar

They'll play right in our fucking faces.

lmurr's avatar

This was inevitable. Trump probably threatened their future earning abillity.

paperlesstiger's avatar

Trump never had any real ideas, just the vague notion that he could do things better by dint of being a businessman. In practice, all he did was fire a bunch of people and raise the cost of everything. Now we have a hidden recession as the deficit goes through the roof. At home and abroad, he incites chaos and violence. He already made things worse, and the full effects of his mismanagement haven't hit yet. Mullin is just another expendable scapegoat for the overall failure of the Trump regime.

jltympanum's avatar

In the pix, MWM is talking with his hands. That's a good rhetorical device, except for one thing: notice how his hand is flat. Just like DFT when he plays his accordion. The flatness is the tell that he is bullshitting you. People who talk with their hands, and are being honest, allow their fingers to move as well as the hand as a whole.

paperlesstiger's avatar

We're learning a lot about liars.

When the truth gets out about Trump and Miller's thousands of mass graves, MAGA'll be de-lighted.

TerseNurse's avatar

no, they'll be pissed. because they wanted to see the mass executions on live teevee.

Lumpy Tapioca's avatar

Oh, they'll get their turn, live and direct, soon enough.

No quarter, remember?

there will be a whole Q-Loon conspiracy around who the bodies actually are, of course.

The Tennessee Holler

@thetnholler.bsky.social

So dark — the @nypost invented a story about “thousands” of 9/11 families telling @NYCMayor Zohran to “stay away” from the anniversary ceremony… then tried to cover it up when they got called out. (After others picked it up)
