I know this self published author whose books and art I quite like. Her books feature such interesting things as a four sexed people, an unrelated three sexed people, and queer relationships all over the place.

She is the daughter of Cubans living in Florida, is a hard line conservative voting against rights for trans and queer people. Keeps it quiet, though, because guess who her audience is. Guess who her audience damn near solely is.

Whether I should buy her work is a question I ask myself. I really do enjoy it a lot. I often buy it. I mean, I bought Heinlein too.

Ultimately, I am one person and she is one person. Her sheer hypocrisy makes me grind my teeth, though, and I have distanced myself from her social media. I might buy her stuff but I don't have to listen to her crazy opinions.

Your first paragraph: Wow, she sounds awesome, who is it??

Your second paragraph: ah, you know what, nevermind. Thanks tho.

And despite the very advanced tech in her books, still no trans people. It's blink and you miss it, especially with all kinds of other queerness going around. What's crazy is one of the sexes she comes up with are neuter, born without genitals or reproductive ability, that have some essential role in society and there's just no question about they should exist or not. I ... actually find that very gratifying, since I'm NB.

um, should I tell him or should anyone else?

let's see, we peeps from mestisaje roots tend NOT to be a monolith.

Our cubano cousins, um, esp of the GOP sort (see pendejos cruz y rubio) tend to be of a certain sort that the rest of us walk the fuck away from. They are the lady's in red allegorically seen in the Matrix.

This is NOT unexpected, esp if afro-latino (and cubano, see how much those above pendejos claim them). There is a HUGE wiff/stench/pile of shite/vomit mass of colorism involved when, let me say, non latino leaders try and talk down or at us say using the above pendejos as their anal mouthpieces.

And for the record, for EVERY record: fuck ted cruz

(full disclosure: I may have some anger at the colorism loving asshole, neigh evil, shown in this article)

I've always thought of him more as Stalinesque without the intelligence of Stalin. But, Castro could work. It is kind of funny and also very disturbing, because it shows how much they DO (regardless of what Empty says) worship him: the Holy Orange God with the feet of clay.

THIS. I have very little sympathy for a lot of the "refugees" and their descendants. These assholes weren't dissidents or journalists, they were vicious, wealthy shitbags who ground the poor under their heels. I'm not claiming Castro was great, to be clear, but a decent number of the people "driven out" just ran away so they could try to keep up the lifestyle they wanted, or something like it.

Right! And he further showed us that he didn't want to be a dictator by the peaceful, humble way he accepted the results and encouraged an orderly transition of power. An aspiring dictator might have unleashed a mob or something.

Gee - I don't remember if DeSantis attempt to criminalize such protests after the Black Lives Matter protests ever got struck down. I do know that the very first protest after that law went into effect was some Cuban-American protest - for which there was absolutely no consequences.
