The guy who originally posted proof that the conversation was AI? Had his entire account nuked by Elon Musk, who also amplified the conspiracy theory and made it so no one could add community notes to the original audio. Musk has, by the way, spent more than $10 million on Paxton’s campaign .
Once again I have to ask- Where is Matt Tabbi these days when Twitter is doing ACTUAL censorship 100% just to help one particular political party
Seems like he would be speaking up about this sort of thing.
Getting to this really late, the obviously stupid part here is that there's absolutely no way any mental health professional, let alone a representative of an institution, would identify a patient in response to a casual inquiry. The most that might be disclosed was that a person came to a facility on a given date, which for all anyone would know could be a visit to a patient, an interview with one of the doctors, an inspection of the facility or just a tour to find out about the mental health care profession.
Since Springfield, Ohio is less than 40 miles from Hamilton, why didn't they speculate about whether he stopped at a Haitian restaurant for a Dachshund or two
Pffft, if he were in any mental health facility for that long he'd be leaving the campaign because his health would be in serious trouble. Most psychiatric stays of people who are voluntary, i.e., well enough to request assistance (and usually mask to some extent) are 72 hours max. Stabilise 'em and pass 'em into community care. (Ask Me How I Know!™️)
Glad Talarico's feeling better. The flu sucks. Guess it shows who the real Talafreakos are.
Thanks to the Healthcare Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), healthcare providers cannot divulge any information about a patient without that person's written permission. So they definitely would not share such information with random callers for fear of being sued.
Was just saying this myself. The most they might do, if it was already proveable beyond a chance of denial, was confirm that someone visited their facility. Which is something a politician would actually have many good reasons to do.
I had a girlfriend in the 80s that split with me ("You??!? But you're so NICE!"...), and a few months later someone told me she was checked in to a local mental health facility. I contacted them, and try as I might, they not only wouldn't tell me if she was there, they flatly refused to confirm she even existed, let alone whether she had been there at all. Something to do with patient privacy, even if they weren't a patient. The nice lady said they couldn't even tell me if she HADN'T been there.
So forgive me if I kinda look at the whole "We called and they said..." thing as bullshit.
(To this day I don't know if she was ever there...)
"Clearly, they both have a history of trying to will the narratives they want into existence — at least, you know, for very stupid people who are willing to believe pretty much anything."
I would just go with the simplest explanation consistent with the facts. They are both delusional, malignant psychopaths who should be committed in a secure psychiatric facility, not for 9 days or "2 weeks" (they are also very bad at simple math skills, such as counting), but indefinitely until they are no longer a threat to themselves or others.
Here is a thing I have learned from serving as a peace marshal at approximately 150 protests over the past 18 months: somebody tries to start shit with you, tries to do a "gotcha," the only response is ever "I do not owe you a conversation. Do you require assistance? No? Then please be on your way." Repeat as needed. I am not here to talk about Joe Biden, or Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, or whatever your pet issue is. I'm here to do a job, and that job is to keep people safe. Your noise is preventing me from doing my job.
Its not fully reported what a vile pile of garbage that white nationalist owner of a Nazi-platforming social media site is.
Check the kerning of the admission/discharge forms!!!!!1111!!
God, what idiots.

If we are going to insist stories published by influencers are true it will destroy a vital American industry

If your mental health treatment isn't done in Ohio, it isn't mental health treatment. It's merely sparkling headshrinkage.
Yes, Talarico was in a mental hospital, just like Jack Smith was at an Atlanta Hawks game when he met with Fani Willis. Wake up sheeple!
And Susan Collins lives in Oregon
I laughed when I saw that yesterday - her campaign bought airtime in Portland Oregon.

They're eating the pets, they're eating the dawgs!

I feel empathetic cringe for all these poor losers on the right who are so desperate for the bullshit to work just one more time.

Trump's been coming to Ohio a lot, and our gas prices went from $3.86 to $3.99 to (currently) $3.76. Jon Husted must have a hell of an ass.
I worked for Jon Husted in the Ohio Secretary of State's office, and I never once thought to check out his ass.
I know I'm going to carry that regret to my grave.
Yeah regret. Another one of life’s many big “buts’.
This may well have been shared already here, but this is honestly hysterical given how testosterone-obsessed MAGA chuds are: https://bsky.app/profile/radleybalko.bsky.social/post/3mxrcruheq22h

Right wing psyops always have that tinge of Reddit user with no idea how things in the real world work to it.
One word: HIPAA. It would have been a violation of Talarico’s privacy for the facility to acknowledge that he’d been a patient there.

I'm gonna steal that for non-peace marshal work. I think that could be useful in many areas.
