We should get Stephen to point it out to them, he can stick a pin and deflate an ego, all while being very polite about it.

I'd like to but I am 100% positive that any let-up in effort is a recipe for four more years of Donald Trump. I'd rather over-work than under-work. The stakes are too high.

Especially after being robbed of an additional three million by voter suppression, Comey, Russians, Misogyny. Wisconsin flipped solely on 124,000 mostly Democratic voters not getting to vote due to 20 new voter suppression laws.

Thanks for that.

Haberman is a stellar asshole. Having said that, the Dems should act like they're 5-point underdogs until Nov. 4. Even Obama said that tonight.

Collaborator is too strong. "Willing dupe" might be better.

Wearing a mask in a pandemic is smart. Staying home as much as possible in a pandemic is smart. Making fun of people who do either, is highly revealing. It takes a special blend of stupid and arrogance to do that, and ol’ Mags is showin her stuff.

The failing NYT certainly knows the old adage, “any publicity is good publicity.” The NYT LOVES when Trump snorts about them on the Twitters and on tv. They LOVE it. The presnit! of US America is talking about us!!! Again!!! Do you think Mags or anyone at NYT wants to try to write stories about sleepy Joe for 4 years? “Joe Biden mispronounces ‘efficacy’, News at 11!” “Joe Biden suspected of meeting with Republicans to discuss bi-partisan policy.” “Joe Biden suspected of taking low-dose aspirin to protect his aging heart.” Stop the presses! They NEED Trump to have stupid shit to write about. Blood sells. Pain sells. Fear sells. Slow and steady? NYT will pass.

Where's Chris Cilizza? Doesn't he have something to add?

Well they're understandably afraid of a repeat of the Obama years. You remember how the president was the weakest tyrant this country has ever seen? Remember how he spoke so well that he was faulted for being "all words?" And don't forget that early mistake, as reported on Fox News, his first Thanksgiving-- "The President wasn't eating humble pie for Thanksgiving Dinner!" Rightly announced in a sarcastic voice.

Please don't call it the failing NYTimes. It isn't failing. That's a Trump fantasy. Haberman's attached to Trump because of her family-- that is why the piece refers to her fear of losing access. (to the next president).

There's always been stupid reporting. There's nothing to worry about. I mean, do you really mean to say the standard of reporting in the Times and the Post and the Guardian are below what you're used to from thirty years ago? Or longer ago? Remember Eric Severeid? He was like "America's Next Top Model!" Can we just hear what happened, please, Eric?

When I think back to Washington Week in Review from 35 yrs ago when I first saw it-- there were several dopes on there-- such arrogant white men, my God they were so awful. And now I see all these young men on MSNBC and I wait for them to become like those guys-- so full of themselves. But I dont' think they ever will.
