Just in case you were wondering, vitriol-fueled weaselborg Maine Governor Paul LePage is never going to join LBJ or even Harry Reid in the ranks of politicians of whom people say "Love him or hate him, he sure knows how to work parliamentary procedure!" This is largely thanks to his
Governor LePetomaine strikes again, misses! He's like an evil village idiot. But how did this guy get elected in a state so close to Canada and sanity, anyway?
It was a three-way race the first time, the other two candidates split enough votes that LePutrescence won. The next election, THE SAME THING HAPPENED. Apparently Mainers have a steep learning curve.
Actually, he was initially elected with 38% of the vote, because the Democrat wouldn't get out of the way of the Indy (who got 36%). But he was RE-elected with 48% of the vote, which I find slightly depressing.
That's good to know. I have used GIMP for years and I still find the interface to be pretty opaque. I have no friggin' idea what half of the tools do. Still, I have no plans to switch to anything else.
The second time he would have won with or without the third candidate, actually. You can look at the vote split on Wikipedia pretty easily.
Unfortunately, the second time, all the ammosexuals who bait bears with donuts crawled out of the woodwork to protect their right to torture bears and hounds and put him over the edge.
So the second time, he was elected by the majority of citizens who cared enough to vote. I think that is how the democratic process (voting) works. It does not make me think any more highly of voters in Maine, however.

You are not the boss of me.
Kind of like the Wisconsin side show featuring featuring Scotty Walker.
America, Land of the Mobile Crazies.
Stephen King sounds like a good guy.

Ah, so you've driven down I-75 during the snowbird migration too.
Hmm. Most of it is NORTH of me. Well, east-northeast.
LePag is what CC thinks is a good endorsement? omg
but LePage endorsed CC -

Not the third party candidate.

Has America learned these clowns cannot govern? They can't even rule decently.
