I guess, when you are Republican, the cost of rewriting laws and developing all the assorted paperwork required, amounting to a not insignificant amount of money, is more important than using that money to actually put food on people. What was that about "small gvernment" again?

I actually had some moran tell me "No such thing as Christian terrorists. Don't even bring up Tim McVeigh. 1 whacko vs entire M.EAST" on the Twitters yesterday. When I listed just a few Christian terrorists for him, he responded that, compared to ISIS, Christians don't have "a terrorism problem."

I reminded him that it isn't Muslims who are applauding when Dominionist politicians blatantly advocate violating the First Amendment rights of Americans, and he went silent, but seriously ... I just can't even.

Which is supremely ironic because they are the people would could most benefit from Bernie. On the other hand, many of them are so poor, even Trump turning the country's pockets inside out isn't going to change much for them. Other than taking away their Medicare and disability payments. Is the old Swamp Yankee ideal of being too proud to take help when offered still a thing? My grandparents (both sets, but only one from Maine) were like that but they are long dead.
