I am really sorry about your pain. You can still obtain mj the "old fashioned way," if that's an option for you. Be careful when you leave the borders of CO. It's so stupid that mj is illegal, FFS!

I prefer "God's flowers."

Fking evil killer cocaine is a Schedule 2 drug, yet cannabis which is a fking herb from God that never killed anyone is Schedule 1. Another big wet kiss to the corrupt pharmaceutical and private prison industries. FFS!

The only thing that would make this story actually newsworthy is if she had lifted that joint from her dad's stash. That would make it awesome.

Same here. That, and Robin Trower's Bridge of Sighs. Also too, The Great Gig in the Sky was always perfect for those mellow, introspective moments.

I had my first at 12. I was an advanced child person. In 1972 this wasn't considered all that unusual. Of course we weren't all on Adderall, Vicodin, anit-depressants, etc... We just got high and listened to music.

Christ. My grandfather went to that school. If he wasn't dead already he would drop dead at the sight of that picture.

That would be fine.

For Earth Below, by Robin Trower. Great song. When my son was a baby, about a year old, his favorite music was Dark Side of the Moon. We had a rack of cassette tapes on the mantlepiece, and when I carried him past it he would pluck that album out and hand it to me. From Money, to Great Gig in the Sky, that was our shared love of Pink Floyd. Big me, tiny him.

For Earth Below! Listening now; thanks for reconnecting me to that long-forgotton-but-subconsciuosly-remebered album, Greg!

And yeah, DSotM has a prominent place in the history of the greatest music ever produced, imo. I hope "big him" has grown to appreciate it for the one-off wonder that it was.

Clare Torry's voice in "Great Gig" was like musical nirvana to me, and to this day no other sound moves me like that studio performance. That's my pick for the music to be played at my funeral (if there is one).

"Fear is a great motivation", said every successful Republican political strategist of our era.

It's high time we turned those tables.

Believe it or nuts, Florida leads the nation in ER admissions for hypothermia, but we have a Medical Sweaters initiative on the ballot (again) this year.

I can feel my glaucoma getting worse, as we speak.
