Next best thing ... he had "well connected friends" who told the Parole Board what a swell fellow he was.

The purpose of the pardon, by the way, was to save him from spending a whole year under supervision in a County Drug Court program. This, apparently, was just an intolerable imposition on Mr. Bostick's (white Southern male) lifestyle.

Yeah, but white is white ... you're missing the key point in this filthy conspiracy: <a href="http://www.vnnforum.com/sho..." target="_blank">" rel="nofollow noopener" title="http://www.vnnforum.com/showthread.php?t=141749">http://www.vnnforum.com/sho...

They've yet to invent anything so crazy, that a racist southern slackjaw can't make it even more crazy!

That's a little too much thinking-like-a-Republican for me ;)<br /><br /><br />I was merely hinting that felons wouldn't be barred from voting if there was no racial disparity in felony conviction rates, and that the pardon system helps \"correct\" when the \"wrong\" people lose their right to vote.

So, I'm late here, but for some reason, the name "Bostick" is making a subconscious bell ring. I'll go google it, but the twinge is obscure. Does anybody recall why this would be a significant name?

He'll need another pardon first.

You <i>were</i> talking about the DUI guy, right?

Everyone involved is white. IMHO the DUI guy resembles Barbor -- especially in the lard ass region. From the article<blockquote>A police investigation found that Bostick was under the influence of alcohol while driving but has determined that <b>he was not at fault for the accident</b>, according to the Mississippi Highway Patrol. Bostick has not been charged, and his case is expected to go before a grand jury, according to the state attorney's office.</blockquote>

No, four offenses, only one of which was pardoned (the first two were non-felony, the 1st third conviction was felony and hence pardoned because only black people are supposed to be prevented from voting, and now the 2nd third offense [since the 3rd was pardoned, the 4th is also a 3rd offense] is going to court).
