"In 2021, No Labels also hired Mark Halperin, who lost his MSNBC gig in 2019"
It's only been since 2019? Man, that pandemic fucks with my sense of time! I started watching MSNBC in 2008, and it was clear within two weeks watching MoJo that Halperin was a moran and an access journalist. Game Change is probably 90% Heilman.
Perhaps Elon Musk should be moving to acquire No Labels.
It could become hardcore...
Seriously, though, No Labels has been an inside-baseball joke that serves solely to flog the careers of C-level yappers in the revolving door of the punditocracy. It's the guy who wears the hat and scarf indoors blarping to Alex Wagner.
But if it runs third-party candidates it can blow us out of the water in critical states.
We are winning elections by tiny margins and if they pull the 1-2% we get from college-educated Republicans who just can't stomach a loon then we will be well and truly screwed.
If their internal crap can be leveraged to isolate them then that is a good thing, but what we really have to do is make every issue one in which being an actual Democrat is put forward as a necessity for good policy and for democracy, making "non-partisanship" sound just as quisling as it really is.
Maybe people have a difficult time trying to work up a sweat promoting disingenuous ideas. Sometimes it's even hard to keep a straight face while doing it.
Good to know they're watching the comments. I haven't even had my phone on in days.I was wondering aloud about the audience taking over the comments on Colbert again last night, but haven't even read any comments anywhere in days. The audience can be just as entertaining as the talent 😉
The whole fantasy of No Labels is that there are a substantial number of Republicans who aren't happy with the hyper partisan, take no prisoners mentality that has a stranglehold on their party and are just looking for an off ramp to that insanity. No Labels offers that off ramp.
ditto!

We refer to the era before the pandemic as "The Before Times" as in "long, long ago in a place far far away, where we lived in the Before Times".
this has been a thoroughly exhausting half-century two years...
"No Labels" sounds about as stupid as "I don't see color" or "down with identity politics".
When they claim they aren't "Right" or "Left": they're Right, but they've found admitting it doesn't get them laid.

'i quit (or was fired) for being an honest, normal person' is a great selling point
"...so everything's swell. Err, fine."
Another one of those fun little Easter eggs that give this here vile snark mob that extra je ne sais quoi.

Isn't No Labels a label?
I can't believe how lazy these No Labels people are. Disgruntled former employee? That is so 80's.
Sounds like a label to me.

Personally, I like my fantasy with dragons.
And they'll exist as long as oligarch dark money is willing to keep them in existence for the oligarchs' uses.
