He or his son is a comments troll on the news and observer Facebook stories. I enjoy prodding and poking him and letting him know what an a****** he is.

I love that analogy. Wonder if that's what is going through Meadows' head?

I just can't imagine that happening. It would be the rare prosecutor that had the balls to prosecute a former President for anything short of killing someone on 5th ave. maybe.

Ohhhhhhh, you were expecting logic and compliance with the laws of physics to be embedded in a RWNJ conspiracy theory, or as they like to call it, "a real thing that will happen"?

Both of my grandfathers were actively serving at the end of WW2 and told me when I was in my teens that they were immensely relieved at the time we dropped the bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki because it meant they wouldn't each be one of the estimated two-to-three million soldiers who would likely die in an invasion of the Japanese main islands. In retrospect, however, they were absolutely horrified by what those bombs did, and how they sparked a global arms race and subsequent daily threat of planetary extermination.

TL;DR: There really are no "winners" in a war, just one side loses less than the other.

The committee did Meadows a solid because he was one of them... they showed him something that was going to be in the referral and made him an offer he couldn't refuse. He is actually the only one who MAY have a somewhat legitimate claim of EP, but information gleaned from other witnesses has no protection and can be used against those who enjoy it. In criminal investigations, it is very common to have someone plea the 5th, only to sing like a bird when they figure out you already have the shit... I know these people don't live by the same rules we do, but federal pen is still bad... even for a few months.
