Not that he's a Russian pawn just because he went to Moscow. Lotsa people go to Moscow. LIKE HITLER! Facebook has agreed to turn over thousands of documents to Congress related to that little bit of Russian ad-buying during the 2016 election, which we learned also involved all sorts of fun internet hijinks, like not just ads but also attempts to organize anti-immigrant rallies as well as pro-Trump rallies in Texas (no takers) and
I think Mark needs to take all the money his company made as a tool of Trumputania and then double it and then give it all to voter registration drive campaigns and anti voter suppression efforts.
It is entirely possible that I don't care for digital communications at home or in my private life because I ran a computer network for 25 years, so using a lot of technology at home is what they used to call a "busman's holiday" - too much like being at work.
I had to disable texting on my first cell phone when the nieces/nephew were in their 20's, because they would text all their contact list at 2 am about some cool party they were at, or some music they were listening to, or some new alcoholic beverage they had just tried. I bought that cell phone in 2001 because my father was dying very slowly in a hospital, and the medical staff had to be able to reach me 24/7, so every time it rang late at night my heart would stop beating. The kiddos failed to understand that.
Frankly, I don't want to get closer to my sister. I love her, but she is a narcissistic, controlling bitch. It is best to remain somewhat distant. If I had texting, she'd be texting me 100 times a day to vent about all the people who do not properly appreciate her genius.
No, one doesn't expect to outlive one's younger siblings. I was very upset to learn a few months ago that a woman I went all the way through K-12 with had died of cancer, and nobody thought to tell me about it for 2 years. We were young together and we raised many a glass together, and "we thought those days would never end." It never occurred to me that she would die first. I'm not sure I'm over the shock yet.
He just needs to keep throwing scat for his bottom feeders to keep them engaged till next vote, considering he only needed 26 million votes, could work. The bigger question is why did only 46 mill vote? First world complacency?
Facebook creeps me out but I'm in my 50s. I joined to share grandbabby pics with family and friends; real, meatspace people. People i was never friends with in the past wanted to be my friend. No.
busman's holiday...havent heard that in awhile...i get it about your feelings toward digital...my father was a systems analyst for the army (civil service) and worked with the earliest computers (with vacuum tubes, even!--after he retired in the early 80's, he had absolutely no contact with anything computer-related--personal computers may as well have been deadly radioactive as far as he was concerned--i dont think he used so much as a hand-held calculator, prefering pencil and paper...you should start writing cards and letters to your folks...just to see their reactions 😆
Dorothy L. Sayers wrote one of her best murder mysteries in 1937 featuring Lord Peter Wimsey that was called "Busman's Honeymoon." Lord Peter goes on his honeymoon, and of course they find a dead body in the house they are renting and he and his new bride, Harriet Vane, have to solve the crime. I read this book in the 70's, and it was the first time I heard the phrase "Busman's Holiday."
I was on call for my job for 25 years - first with a pager, then a cell phone - so as soon as I retired I turned it off and put it in a drawer. I now only use it when I travel - it is an old flip phone, but perfectly serviceable. I use H2O Wireless and pay 5 cents a minute, $10 lasts me 6 months and I don't use it all up.
Yeah, I've also had many people I barely know try to be my friend on facebook. Like friends of my parents whom I met when I was a toddler and haven't seen since. I refuse them. And then, you have these fake accounts of US military...
FB suspended a black woman's account when she posted pictures of the virulently racist shit she got daily on FB. Shit that she reported to FB, and yet the people vomiting it at her faced no consequences. Fuck FB and fuck Zucker.
Mine is not a flip phone, but one of those where u have to slide the screen part up to get at the keys. i barely use it other than as an alarm clock, maybe send a text to delay pickup when going to the gym etc once every 2 weeks, and call maybe every other month. use one of those pre paid cards too, last i filled er up for 25 bucks was a year ago.
I think Chris should be immediately awarded the Crown of the Stupidest Man on the Internet for this tweet right here.

Maybe you’re underestimating how much they like money.

Don't check me.
Wait, what?

9 out of 10 friend requests I get these days are scantily clad wimmins who wants to "get to know you" for sexy times. I report them every time.
No. It’s a program living on your system that injects its own ads into your http traffic.
