I live near the NYC Firemen's Memorial. Today, as every Sept. 11, I woke to the sound of bagpipes playing Amazing Grace, and stopped by on the way to work to attend the reading of the names of the 343 firemen who died that day.
The greater the outrage and vengeful screaming twelve years ago, the greater the fatuity today.
