Maureen Dowd, star columnist of the august New York Times, did a hilarious thing this weekend! She used lots and lots of misogynist buzzwords! (That isn't the new part. She does that every week.) But this time, she said the words about a man! Because what could be worse than being called shrill, and bitchy, and part of a "sewing circle" and "on PMS"?
Let's face it, at that age we were so incredibly stupid. This whole "let the guy know you're interested by these hints" doesn't work because boys - even the intelligent one - are just dumb.
Weird, because I've never read a single article he wrote about charter schools. I've only been reading his stuff in NY Magazine, and I've liked everything I've read. I'll take your word for it that he's biased on charter schools, but we all have our weaknesses.
Then you aren't reading him often--he writes at least once a month on charters---in the New York Magazine. And every time, even his fans, chastise him for it.
Condolences to your son and his family. Years ago, I had a cat named Fire Escape, because that's what she did -- escaped from a burning tenement building. She was a great companion. RIP, Django.
i'm sorry. a 13 year old girl isn't run by their emotions as bad as dumpster fire is. a little butthurt, and he goes tactical nuke. it is just a shame the fallout isn't giving him the same cancer he is giving the country.

I read him 3 to 4 times a week. It's possible I might just be missing them.

I didn't get to spend much of my 13th year giggling; Daddy died about 6 months after my 13th birthday. I wasn't particularly giggly anyway.
I'm so sorry... and can see that this would sober a person for a good long time.
Semi-sentient oozing bag of dog feces and insane asylum hair from the mid-1800s.
I can believe it. I've watched people swerve to hit everything smaller than a deer. Humans are the gorram worst. That's why I reside in space.
...Ivanka?
Bloody fucking hell. No snark, and no words to describe. I hope he gets caught and sent straight to hell. No votes, nothing.
Goddess knows they suffer worse PMS than we do - and it's ongoing all the time!

We're lucky to have 21 days between episodes!
And the poor things are amazingly sensitive to pain, aren't they? Delicate little flowers, they are.
