Why would I want to spend time with someone with such abhorrent beliefs and morals? I have many family members, acquaintances and former friendI will never speak to again. I’m fine with that. If my cousin appeared at my door wearing a KKK hood, defended the person who shot my dog and blamed my kids for their own SA, I’m somehow obligated to let him in? Nah.

I imagine that the daughter said, “Dad, if you keep this up I will tall everyone what you did to me when I was 9.” That’s when the father shot his daughter to death.

I stopped watching Bill Maher years ago. Smarmy.

The old me would have called up my Trump-loving relatives after the Minnesota murders and screamed "How do you like your guy now?" The new me doesn't, and not because I might get shot, it's because I only have so much energy.

A)Fuck Bill Maher into the Sun, and

B) Texas is a shithole State when it comes to gun violence ...no other words other than sadness for the loss of this woman...

I did. And it was worth it.

Bill Maher thinks cutting off MAGA relatives is “too far,” like we’re arguing over pineapple on pizza.

Meanwhile a drunk dad in Texas says he wouldn’t care much if his daughter was assaulted, then “accidentally” shoots her with his bedside Glock.

At some point “political disagreement” stops being brunch-table banter and starts being a character reveal.

If someone’s ideology normalizes cruelty, rage, and guns as emotional coping tools, distance isn’t dramatic. It’s discernment.

Sometimes peace is created by subtraction.

Normalizes murder too, live and in color on endlessly repeated vid.

There are none so blind.

Your friends and relatives don't cut you off for voting for Trump. They cut you off for voting for Trump and talking about it. Or voting for Trump, not talking about it, but obviously being the kind of person who votes for Trump.

If you are a kind, decent human being who plays well with others and declines to discuss your voting record or your politics in general because that's personal, people aren't going to cut you off. But I have trouble believing anyone like that exists.

Methinks the Maher protests too much. So now we know Bill Maher voted for Trump.

The other thing that strikes me about this is how that sperm donor of a father thinks about his daughters, as shown by how he talks about them. Summed up: "Hey, an heir and a spare, and neither talks back. What do I need this other one for?"

No more thought about her than Kristi Noem thought about her dog.

Ta, Robyn. Poor Lucy.

I fear for Kris Harrison's surviving daughters.

Funny. The NYT ran a story about the inquest and didn’t mention any of the familial details. Nothing about the witnesses story or the MAGA father

Maher has never gotten over all the ass-kissing he had to do to get his career back after making the perfectly reasonable post-911 observation that you couldn’t really call people willing to die to strike their enemies “cowards” when you did most of your fighting remotely with drones and missiles. To say it was poorly received would be an understatement.

Anyway, his show was IMMEDIATELY cancelled and it took him years of sucking up to recover his former status. For whatever reason, he blames the left more for this than the right despite the fact most of the ones screaming for his head were right-wingers.

You couldn’t pay me to live in Texas. What a shithole.

Houston is a vibrant, cosmopolitan and diverse city- I enjoyed living there under the Richard's and early Bush years...

The skiing sucks. There are brain-eating amoebas in the water. Hurricanes and high humidity on the coast. The Chihuahuan desert is boring compared to the other North American desert biomes. And it's full of Texans.
