The sooner we move over to green energy the sooner will we be able use machinery with no much less guilt and damage done.
To a large degree, we have a conundrum - the less energy and fewer other resources we use, the less powerful we become politically. If we took the Buddhist self-sacrifice exit option (kill ourselves to use no harmful resources) then we leave the planet in the hands of the coal rolling, gas guzzling, off road voters, and that's no good.
We have an obligation to stay and fight for humanity, for the forests, for our cousin critters. Use your A/C as necessary, and maybe soon (within 10 years) it will be green.

The predictable outcome is that if Drumpf gets into a competitive primary where he starts to take significant losses, he will go into the same tantrums about voting fraud that he threw over the general election. It turns out you can't really have a free and fair election where one of the candidates won't admit he lost.
