I'm from Oklahoma, too! High five. I always describe Oklahoma as a place of extremes. Extreme kindness, extreme beauty, extreme views, extreme weather. It's a paradoxical place.

I live in a very rural red part of a blue state, and it's the same around here. As what passes for "extremely liberal" (In a college town, I'd be considered "somewhat liberal") around here), I often have to take a deep breath, and get patient when politics are being discussed. Outside of that, can't ask for nicer people, and I have a lot of good friends. Except when talking politics.
