Starbuck's coffee always tastes burned, no matter where you go. I loathe the taste, so I don't go into Starbuck's unless it's the ONLY coffee place around. And now that Starbuck's has called cops to arrest and handcuff and perp walk two African American men who were waiting for another man before they ordered, I have even less reason to go there. How many times have I seen (white) people sitting at Starbuck's, using their computers, and ordering nothing? How often have (white) people toodled in, used the bathroom, and left without purchasing anything? Starbuck's one-day seminar in how to treat POC isn't going to help.

After thoroughly testing I've concluded that Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf ("The Bean") has the best coffee. Too bad there are so few outlets in San Diego.
Around here, a lot of Starbucks locations have signs advertising themselves as a safe place for LGBTQ+ people to go if they're being harrassed on the street; they'll let you hang out as long as necessary, and they'll call the police if you need them.
The signs are clearly old, though; they need to be updated to include so many more people who get harrassed by potentially violent RWNJs just for walking down the street these days.
My dentist's office has never had a TV. Instead they have a very large wall aquarium. I quite enjoy looking at the fish, they alternate between being soothing and entertaining.
Between big hire Megyn Kelly and protecting Matt Lauer Andy Lack seems to be batting a thousand these days. The real question is : WHY HASN'T NBC FIRED HIM YET?

I keep hoping San Francisco will do that, but they just keep building luxury apartments for the tech bros, which keeps pushing rents higher.
