I sometimes think about the Unabomber's brother, who knew his brother was the Unibomber after he read his Manifesto in the newspaper, but he refused to tell the police what he knew unless they promised not to give his brother the death penalty. As I've said before: the purpose of the police is not to protect you, but to keep you in your place.
