30,000 + documented lies in just four years. Anyone who says they are “inclined to believe” the PAB should quit calling themselves an investigator.

She had a defense lawyer and she was expecting he would discuss how obstructive trump had been. Instaed he went on a tirade about the scheduled leak to the Post, with intent to influence the decision about prosecution.

It is hard to make training overcome prejudices. F'rexample, you'd think police would balk at being instructed to commit burglary, but there is no evidence that any FBI agent ever did, and the agency has done hundreds, maybe thousands of burglaries.

It does make me wonder if any of the agents who argued for shutting down the investigation were contact with anyone from Trump's orbit. A quid pro quo, essentially, for making the investigation go away.

"Do me a favor though..." doesn't seem out of bounds given his past behavior and the fact that the NY office was leaking like crazy ahead of the 2016 election to damage HRC.

Um...the agents who disagreed about the best course of action, which was their right, were proven wrong by events.

Trump hadn't turned over all the classified documents in his possession, which was proved when more were found in his possession. I don't know what there possibly is to dispute about this, or what Hawley even thinks he's arguing. The DOJ was right about this, but they were right for the wrong reason?

Next time, there won't be a storming of the Congress. Just shuffle a few papers here and there, get your lawyers to stamp "okey-dokey" on 'em. Quiet as a mouse, boring as all getout, and assuming all of us will just shuffle onto work the next day, while they hang "under new management" signs outside the building.

Judging by the illegal parking and laughable preening with gun toys by FBI goons in the street in front of the Washington Field Office, those wannabee plastic army men have ZERO respect for the law. The Napoleon complex of Mama's Boy Jaye Edgar Hoover's -- and all this uh, "shortcomings" -- live on in the man-children who still show up for handouts there.

Hawley was trying to prove that Garland is bad at his job because people in the FBI disagreed with him.

It’s just as stupid as anything else they’ve cooked up.

Upon closer inspection of this story the only named agent purportedly wanting to drop the investigation was Steven D’Antuono, who was appointed head of the DC field office in... October 2020. Thankfully he retired last November.

The idea that the FBI was this woke deep state hive of leftists has always been laughable to anyone with even a cursory knowledge of the bureau’s history.
