It goes back further than that. The South was sure it's many, hunting and shooting society would prevail over the effete North.I'm sure that Sparta was sure that Athens had no chance against it's manly society.
But then Democrats would have to believe they're commies. BTW, I wish somebody would challenge that sometime. That and "socialism." It's the silliest bullshit timewaster and the easiest charge to demolish. And aren't they sick of it? Starting with the video of McCarthy holding up the bunch of blank pages "the names of all the Communists in the State Department" and follow it with the decades of other fool headlines and silly pictures, like the men in shirtsleeves spooling thru Hollywood film in search of Communist scenes. And angry columns about what Medicare would do to the nation's character.
I think they've enjoyed having their violent impulses aroused-- feeling the possibility of becoming heroic and laying down ultimatums to Liberals. Everything else can go hang.
I like to listen to The Oath podcast. It features FBI, CIA, sincere military people, and career civil servants. They really talk about the oaths they took! So for a little while it's just like as if Trump had never entered the picture. What I mean is, for the military to sign on with these people they'd have to step over so many many many who believe in their oaths, and believe in the country, and plus they'd be making themselves vulnerable to getting life in prison if they lost their civil war and worse, they'd also be losing their pensions.
Nah, I didn’t say if enough people call you something you have to believe it; just to look closely at yourself. People can call me a communist all day and night, but it ain’t going to change the fact that I actually know what one is and I ain’t it.
It's true. All those pink-faced white-haired Trump guys in the House and the Senate look like such straight-arrows-- how did they get to be weird liars without spines? I don't know but I really thank god for Chuck Rosenberg and the other guys I see on msnbc. ( I say guys because I expect women to be good hearted).

You know darn well it's "marshall."

Lock this treasonous fuckwit up and throw away the key.
We can call someone a tool all day long, but it doesn't mean I can use him to tighten bolts.
The Derrida fanboys? Or the DeMan fanboys?
I haven't heard it yet, but Chuck Rosenberg strikes me as the kind of man who actually knows what it means to take an oath.
He'll soon find out that a pardon is not like being saved in the Southern Baptist church.
Strip him of his rank, take away his pension, and throw his ass in a military prison for sedition for the rest of his life.
Yeah...now they all want it.
JADE HELM! JADE HELM! JADE HELM! Oh, the horror of Bowling Green and all those poor, slaughtered avatars....
