I've seen some whittering of that sort this time around again from the same purity ponies who pulled that last time.
I've brushed it off a bit, figuring that they're either people who are too stupid to learn the obvious lessons of 2016, or they're dudes named Vasili and Dmitri who get paid to try to disrupt another election by convincing stupid people that's a viable strategy.
I'm late to this party, but I wanted to chime in. There's this incredibly pervasive notion that women have to be completely selfless in everything we do. Even taking care of our physical bodies and emotional needs is cloaked in the narrative of "you have to take care of yourself before you can take care of anyone else." Not "take care of yourself because you're worth caring about". It's really dangerous for mental health. I hear so much guilt and anxiety about not giving everyone everything they have and I've felt it personally, with the pressure trebled now that I have young children.
Women (and any men who may be infected by this attitude as well), you don't have to be completely selfless. Selfish isn't a 4 letter word. You can do what you want for yourself without the world falling down or people hating you. Of course you should take care of your obligations, especially if there's someone dependent on you. But don't feel guilt for what you choose to do for yourself or feel like you have to justify it. Do it because you're worth it.
Had some nitwit on the Twitter the other day saying how much s/he hated Trump, but was defending protest/third party voting. Responded by saying how much we all hate Trump, and what did they propose to do about it, if not willing to vote Blue? The answer I got was pretty weak.
Another lonely basement dweller, desperate for any attention.
Yup... yet another sad, brainless, Cheeto-dusted, incel wingnut upfisting himself.
He seriously upvoted himself? 😂

I just watched it, beautifully crafted and delivered by Ms. Williams.
Yup. His only, lonely upvote.
Yup - the Catholic thing is a tough one to get over... that impulse to feel guilt has lasted decades longer than my faith.

You seem nice
Because you could, and why not?

And it up-voted itself, not only shitting up the place, but wanking publicly as well.
I would like to subscribe to your newsletter.
They have to get their "Pout-Rage" somewhere. And yes, I bet it was third-hand info funneled through Fox "so-called " news.
Thank you! You saved me having to reply. You covered it well.
