Can't remember where I saw it, but some politician - maybe a congressman, maybe a state legislator - said something along the lines of "you can't win the primary without Trump support, and you can't with the general with it." It occurred to me that the trumpster wing of the party may primary Upton and Meijer. And if those guys lose their primaries, we could have Democrats in Congress representing parts of this state that haven't had Democrats in a long, long time. Honestly, I think it's a long shot, but a girl can dream.

It was CNN covering the Chauvin trial live. The prosecuting attorney is wonderful. He just let the tape roll, and CNN didn't block any of the cuss words, either.

Women were called witches and killed throughout the Middle Ages for going against powerful men. You're absolutely right that witch hunts and lynchings should be OFF the table as political metaphors. Black men were often falsely accused of rape and killed because a white man wanted their land or thought they weren't subservient enough. Women were often accused of witchcraft and killed because they had power through their knowledge as herbalists and mdwives, or they rejected a man's advances. Damn, I wish we really did have re-education camps!
