Plus, he was from Indiana, a state that Michigan turns up it's nose at.

"Out of context" is another addition to the list of words that conservatives use without knowing what they mean. They think it means "If you listened to me talk nonstop for six hours this would all start to make sense."

It's not like we can take the poors and make them not-poor either. That would be Communism.

Attacking people for using the n-word is the real racism.

If you can't change their race, you can do the next best thing and fund their districts the same as you fund the white districts. Let 'em have a taste of what it's like to be a white student and then, just maybe, even though they'll still look weird, they'll begin to act the right color.

The whole "I have a black friend" argument always nauseates me. Might as well argue that you love your dog, and he loves you... so that proves you believe dogs and people are equal, right?

yeah, the first thing someone needs to do is ask this racist State Senator what source material he saw that claimed race was 'a contributor to' failing schools. I seriously doubt he will be able to do so, unless his material is coming from Erick Erickson or some KKK literature (are those different things?). The racial makeup of the schools is a corollary factor... only because we grossly under-fund schools with heavily black populations, and lower funding is of course an ACTUAL cause of schools failing....

Edited to correct a spelling error.

But left in the ",,," instead of correcting to "...". So many demerits......

Let's not forget a few things that actually should make us a bit less worried.

Back in the days before all this stuff happened, a 'high-school graduate' white European-descended male Christian who had a job with one of the factories in Michigan would see himself as the 'king' of his small family domain. He'd often 'tell' his wife what she should be doing, thinking, saying... even how to vote. He'd tell his kids what to think too, if one of them was in any way 'deviating' from daddy's plan they would get a good old-fashioned ass-whuppin... and God forbid if that deviation had anything to do with daddy's idea of normal sex (i.e. men do as many women as possible, women do one guy their entire life... and nobody EVER mention homosexuality or sex outside of the white race!!!!), then things would get REALLY crazy.

So, while some things in Michigan have gotten worse... many other things have in fact gotten better. There is now at least a serious discussion about whether the 1950s-1960s daddy approach is even acceptable in society today.
